What if the file is intercepted, and then it launches a sef-executable on itself?Sep 26, 2016 at 9:32 am #5813807LarryGuest
I’ll expand on Eugenio. If the point of this software is security with e-mail, then having an encryption program that would be easy to open if someone gets the e-mail, then the program is useless. Unless there is something that an average reader doesn’t know about intercepting e-mails that would make it impossible to intercept the file in it’s encrypted and extractable
form, then maybe the software is usable. As it appears at this point, it isn’t worth anything at allSep 26, 2016 at 10:59 am #5814264EugênioGuest
NOT a review, but a question:
When sending an encripted file or text with a self exe on it, what is the guarantee that, if it is intercepted, is is not going to give all the gold to the digger?Sep 26, 2016 at 10:59 am #5814265TeeKGuest
If it is self-extracting, how is it secure? Anyone can double click it to get the contents back again without a key…Sep 26, 2016 at 11:18 am #5814340cadelsonGuest
To ALL of you with great points and concerns, this may not be the version for you. Then I thought about it and thought the same thing. I ran a test with a friend and yep sure enough he was able to grab the email and the exe file opened up without even needing a password.
Standard Edition includes all the major features you’d expect from top-notch encryption software.
Besides basic encryption/decryption operations, this edition includes advanced features such as
Parcel Designer or support for binary keys.
——>>> If security and reliability is absolute priority, Enterprise Edition is what you need.
In addition to the Standard Edition’s features, Enterprise Edition offers command-line
interface for automated processing and can work in FIPS 140-2 -compliant encryption mode.

Says repeatedly that this program will encrypt folders, yet I have installed and activated the program and it still won’t encrypt folders. Please clarify if I am doing something wrong or this is FALSELY advertised.Sep 28, 2016 at 12:19 am #5823199Silver KeyGuest
2 Eugênio & Larry: ‘self-decrypting’ means that the encrypted file contains a stand-alone decryptor and that the recipient does not need to install the decrypting software on the receiving end. You still need to know the password to decrypt such a file.
2 TheSunR19: That error message indicates that you entered the code in the wrong place. Paste it into the field marked ‘Activate with your Customer ID’
2 DM: yes, the program can encrypt folders. What did you do and what was the error message? Please write to support firstname.lastname@example.org
