    Here is the Avast reply:

    Hello,

Thank you for reporting this false positive.

We have now cleared its reputation in our database based on the findings and removed the detection. This change may take up to 24 hours to take full effect. Please accept our apology for the inconvenience caused.

If the detection persists after 24 hours, update the virus database in Avast anti-virus and reply to this email with the attached files:
1.Take a screenshot of the Avast detection dialog (Threat Secured pop-up with See details – displayed at the bottom).
2.Take a screenshot of the Avast virus database (open Avast antivirus and go to Menu > About).
We hope you have a nice day and stay safe online.

To register it, upon launch, right-click its system tray icon and from the context menu, select REGISTER and PASTE the giveaway license key on the field provided. Click ACTIVATE (make sure you are connected to the internet)

[@Itsas Haizea] Might consider getting Webroot in addition. Very good app recommended by banks. Few years now & clean. First run/scan it caught one something on PC after a hack and since then runs pre OS loading and been clean. Also for cell phone. Mainly free. v 23.1 loads update virus definitions “from the cloud” vs old way of download the info via file.
PS Norton reported it had a “small” hack of user info past week. My friends removed their stuff years ago. Too naggy for paid sub, among other things.

[ @Ashraf] Panda Dome (anti-virus) flagged this so [a] false positive or [b] something wrong with it? But it is a screenshot maker, so I can understand why Panda thought it was bad.

[ @Ashraf] [a] Panda did think it was dodgy, but I took it out of the vault/quarantine. Doesn’t seem to integrate with the likes of LibreOffice, I was hoping for something like Office Clipboard, where you see EACH copy, and select which one you want for pasting, but no. 1 star out of 5 for this one.

On the laughable side, it DID (when I went into History) show me the SharewareOnSale key to register the product, which I did copy, in order to register the product. So in terms of that, it DOES work. But hopping into History each time is a bit of a joke.

You should warn us that it costs $34 PER YEAR, after the 6 month trial ends.
I don’t like leasing software at the best of times, and this vendor’s offering is way too expensive.

PS I wrote my own ClipBuddy years ago. I am still using it, as are a couple of friends.
I am being forced to move flats, as my owner died.
I am 81 and possibly will get covid during the move.
At this age, if it does not kill you straight away, you will likely age dramatically over the following 6 months and then die (like the Queen did).
I previously donated my CapsLock Warning program to Ashraf’s members. If I manage to find a flat, and get a warning that I will die soon’ish, I will donate my ClipBuddy to this site.
PPS Like my previous gift to this site, ClipBuddy does not require any installation. You just place it into a folder like C:\ClipBuddy

    Thank you for your feedback.

You do not need to open the history each time. Simply click Ctlr+Q to select and paste.

This 6 month offer which is offered for <Smart Clip> here is a mockery with the users.
I’ve been using <Clipdiary> for several years, which I also got for free on a promotion
with “use for life”, with which I am very satisfied!
