AussiePeteGuestThis offer requires too much personal detail for my liking. Be warned before you enter an email address that you will then be required to fill out an extensive form of private detail such as phone numbers and addresses.

Same here.
Peter BlaiseGuest.
Only your email will be used, so use anonymizing information for other fields — when I get spam phone calls, I turn around and put their phone number in the phone field for free offers! ; – ).
RickGuestFar too many superfluous fields to key in before you can download it. Gave up.
AdrianGuestThis not easy to get and they require too much information, I fear this is a marketing scam or worse a pyramid scheme
Mr.DaveGuest[@Peter Blaise] Love it! (using spam phone numbers in forms).
I’m assuming this is all for “Trade Pub”. I set it up and actually made an account ONE time, use the same info every time it pops up. Painful but not life-threatening. I’ve gotten several good e-books and magazine subscriptions (trade publications…) and a couple of programs like WINX Dvd____. Seems like I get an email from them every day about some new publication, usually the same one for several weeks, and they’re usually giving advice about doing the things I despise most about the internet: constant ads, constant need to collect personal information, how to use someone’s browsing habits to help them part with their money.OK, so I went for it. Got to the Trade Pub site and it remembered me from last time. Clicked download. Got an email, clicked download in the email, it took me back to their site where I could finally download the book (at least that’s how I remember it…)
Book itself? 29 pages of very general information (and table of contents) that most people should know by now. No copyright or publication date. If you’re very new to the internet and social media this could be helpful to you. I only skimmed it, maybe there are some useful nuggets of knowledge in there! Lots of hoops to get it, but once you’re set up, it’s much easier the next time Trade Pub pops up.
johnGuestthis offer is absolute garbage, they want way too much personal info, are they thieves wanting to know every detail about you, if this is even a valid offer they can keep and shove this ebook up where the sun doesn’t shine and choke on it.
