This is great software, and I think it is the latest version. Grab it while you can – I paid for it!

This appears to be a good and useful program but after using it you find it weak, incomplete and a useless program.
    Why?
    It CANNOT update programs automatically.
You must find, download and install updates yourself.
Very poor and useless program….even after activating it to a Pro version with the provided serial here.
A very big shame on KC Software, the developers of this yucky program.
If you need a good “software updater” then use IObit Software Updater as it can update your programs automatically.
Another big plus is that IObit’s program does find many more programs than this weak SUMO.
My recommendation is to pass up this poor and weak SUMO.

[@John USA] Keep in mind that many of us don’t want the default installation choices. We might want to install to other than C: drive, might need a different language pack, might not want the program to take over all the possible file associations it knows about, and might not want it to install extras we won’t use. I’d guess about 90% of the time, when I update a program, it already knows my settings from the previous install. But the other 10% that don’t, well, an upgrade leads to dual installations and all the other problems above. Even if a program finds my old settings, it may be offering new features I don’t need. I won’t even get into the big leap of faith in trusting a program to get the correct, newer, official version. And for people who frequent this site, many of our programs cannot be updated without losing the license, leaving us with a trial program. Would an automated installer understand that?

So any program that offers to install things automatically is, for me, something to avoid. The fact that SUMo does not, is probably the best thing I can say about it.

The file that gets downloaded is not called SharewareOnSale_Giveaway_SUMo_PRO_hub.exe. It is called sumo_lite.exe.

Many of the free programs I’ve installed from here this year like:
CRYPT in the BOX, Clip Diary, Lope Edit and others
are provided by Ashraf with the following important limitation
“No free updates; If you update the giveaway it may become unregistered”
So don’t admire this program in advance, because it can play a bad joke on you. . .

    Well said, I totally agree.
Don’t want software that makes changes automatically, I like to be in control too.
