If you want to capture what is displayed on your screen, this program can capture it, either a snapshot or video. It is indeed a SCREEN RECORDER. However, when capturing video, it is common to also want to capture the audio playing while also capturing the video. Audio is not produced by display devices; it comes from an audio component, such as an audio card. I was not able to get both the video and audio recorded together. I have 8 screen recorders, and with all of them, I can record the audio along with the video using my default settings. For my system, StereoMix was displayed as the default. I tried it but no joy. I went through all of the available choices, but still no audio. In spite of all this, the website shows the program being able to record video and audio together, so for some reason, it does not work on my system.

I can record the microphone audio at the same time as capturing the video, so this will work if you want to make a demo video.

When compared to the other screen recorders, this program takes up a lot more CPU percentage. If I were recording a two-hour video, I fear that my computer could become overheated.

Also compared to the other screen recorders, the disk space used for video files was far greater, but no apparent improvement in quality on a same-size recorded area.

The program has a setting to update automatically, but it is turned off by default. After exiting and re-opening, there is a prompt asking the user if the program should check for updates automatically.

Settings are not saved. After restarting, if the user attempts to record without selecting an area, there is a flashing warning that selecting an area is a requirement. Understandable, but I had rather start out with the same settings I used the last time by default.

Overall, TunesKit Screen Recorder is similar to several other alternatives for features.

There is no manual, and on the developer’s website, it is not listed as a program in several of their lists.

Due to having a good selection of alternatives, I doubt I will be using this program.
