I copied the URL of a video from a catchup site from my browser to Vcap.
The stream was playing in my normal browser.
The website open in Vcap said I needed to enable Digital Rights Management in my browser (Vcap) to watch.
I couldn’t find how to do that.
This report from Vcap FAQ:
“DRM(Digital Rights Management) video protection is a new technology and all subscription sites are switching to it to protect their content.DRM is a set of access control technologies for restricting the use of proprietary hardware and copyrighted works. DRM technologies try to control the use, modification, and distribution of copyrighted works (such as software and multimedia content), as well as systems within devices that enforce these policies.
Unfortunately, we do not support DRM protection (MPEG-DASH-DRM, M3U8-DRM protocols) now.”
Since I already have a tried method for DRM-free downloads, this offers nothing additional.DOWNLOADED AND INSTALLED EASILY, BUT COULD NOT CHANGE THE FOLDER TO WHICH THE COPY WOULD BE INSTALLED.
I APPRECIATE THE REGISTRATION BEING PRE-LOADED.
COPIED URL OF THE VIDEO I WANTED INTO THE “COPY URL INTO HERE” SPACE AND CLICKED ON CAPTURE. THE CORRECT URL WAS BROUGHT UP AND WAS WORKING, THE VIDEO BEING SHOWN INSIDE VCAP. BUT IT LOOKED LIKE NOTHING WAS BEING CAPTURED. THE SCREEN OF THE URL INSIDE VCAP CONSTANTLY BLINKED, AND THE AUDIO WAS UNSTABLE. THERE WAS NO WAY TO EXIT THE COPED URL WITHOUT CLOSING VCAP.
I WAS WANTING TO DOWNLOAD JUST A PORTION OF THE VIDEO, BUT COULD NOT. IN THE RIGHT HAND PANE, THERE’S A SECTION FOR CAPTURES AND DOWNLOADS. IT LOOKED LIKE THE ENTIRE VIDEO WAS BOTH CAPTURED AND DOWNLOADED. BOTH FILES WORKED PROPERLY.
WILL SEE IF IT WORKS ON A LIVE VIDEO PRESENTATION AND REPORT BACK.
THE PROBLEMS MIGHT BE JUST ME NOT UNDERSTANDING THE PROGRAM.
NOT SHOUTING, JUST HAVE POOR VISION.
I COULD NOT FIND A WAY TO COPY SNIPPETS OF AN IN-PROCESS VIDEO. THE SOFTWARE IS NOT MUCH USE FOR ME.
I shared this and I got my post removed from facebook, is it because it is used for downloading videos?

It was removed because it was an add and you didn’t pay to Fb. If you want to share it, do it thru Messenger
