I did not have Shadow Defender installed but had the same error as others. I also tried the intall as an administrator, but still the program disappeared for me the same as for several others.The key thing here is that the program may install just fine for some users, but that is not the proof that everyone else that did have a problem should do something different. My 6.2.5 version was installed on a different computer and it did not have a problem for a lot of users.
I rarely ever have an install fail, and nearly every time I had a failure, it was because I missed something in the instructions. That happens very rarely for me. So, when I have the same failure as others report, I do a thorough check to see if I misread something. This install for version 6.2.8 was proceeding just like the version 6.2.5 version installed, then it disappeared for me the same as it did for others.
I made a comment earlier proving the online and the SoS programs are exactly the same per HASH value, but I failed to mention that the program still does not install when signed on as an administrator or running the installer as Administrator.
Downloading from their site and using the SOS activation code doesn’t work. Where is AceThinker support for this program?

Some developers will use sites like SOS to test their products, free users = guinea pigs, many people using sites like this are aware of this. Some developers seem to agree to offering their useless software/app for long periods knowing there will be lots of issues with it. This is when they go on holiday, isn’t it Acethinker?
I’m not knocking SOS, I understand the score when I use sites like this and have downloaded a number of applications for free which I value highly. Acethinker is not on that list.
Installed but can’t find it where I told it to go.
Received what appeared to be a phishing attempt with a perfect rendition of windows.
Tried from last Friday to install, sometimes it gave me a generated confirmation number and sometimes it didn’t. But it still wouldn’t let me sign up.
This is scary.
I am unable to install the software. It just disappears when I click on Install button. Please advise what to do next
Tried downloading from the original website and it installed fine but wouldn’t take the license code , invalid.
I have sililar problem like others. After clicking “install” the process is endng with no any report. Dissapearing even from manager. Setup program startet with admin permission, antivirus off. I have no other idea. Give up.

If you rename the program to Video-Keeper.exe, the installation is successful, but it become a trial version and not possible to register.
The program successfully activated. The program shows that I already logged. So I logged out then the program shows VIP activation. The next window shows the registration page. The SoS code accepted.

Download, install, register, run, exit, run again — all worked fine on my PC. Windows 10 Home, Bitdefender AV, EVGA GTX 750ti graphics, Dell XPS 8910 about 6-7 years old, 16 GB memory. Note that it takes about 30 seconds to load, possibly much longer on slower PCs.
It may have helped that I had an older version and therefore already had an account. I was surprised when it knew all my account details before I entered anything, even though I uninstalled the older version a few months ago (license expired) using Soft Organizer. I guess it didn’t remove _everything_.
