Why are you dealing with this problematic and insecure software and not taking advantage
of the “Ant Download Manager” promotion offered here a week ago.
It is an extremely good program of this type.THIS DOESN’T INSTALL ON WINDOWS 10, TRIED IT FOUR TIMES AS ADMINISTRATOR, AND BYPASSED THE FIREWALL, “IT JUST DOESN’T WORK” AND FAILS TO INSTALL.
It disappeared on me as well. ExeWatch shows that the product attempted this installation:
C:\Users\Owner\AppData\Local\Temp\Video Keeper.exe
But checking for this file produced nothing.
Why were they attempting to install to AppData?MasterSeeker conformed that VideoKeper.exe is nowhere on my system.
The reason for the install problems is that the install file is corrupt. Download the file from Acethinker or any site that has version 6.2.8. It will install. Then all you do is run round hoops to register it! In my case, no account needed to be set up as suggested in the install details from SoS.
Run the software, type in the licence details (you cannot copy & paste) then it will ask to verify.follow the instructions, add the verify code and it tell you the software is purchased. done. No more needed.
Great promises from the software but on my first attempt with a simple streaming site (Talking pictures TV) it failed saying that the site is not supported. For me its back to doing things the slightly harder way. That is copy the M3U8 master manifest using videodownload helper (free browser add-on), and paste into FFMpeg Batch AV converter (free from various inc. Git Hub).

Some files will be installed to the appdata folder as with a lot of, if not most software. But as stated in my previous post, the install file is corrupt.
The final proper install will be in the programsx86 folder.Have just read more posts so here’s some more detail.
Delete anything from the appdata folder that appeared after a failed attempt with the corrupt install file and any downloaded install file. Do a fresh download of the executable package from Acethinker (77Mb ish). Install, open program and follow instructions for activation\ verification. The SoS licence key does work.I downloaded AceThinker Video Keeper from the official site and it worked. The first time I tried AceThinker Video Keeper Pro and got invalid key. When I tried just the AceThinker Video Keeper, I was able to install and the key SOS provided worked.
