Thank you for this offer, but I can’t get it to register. When I add my key/license, I get an “error” popup with the red X and it says “can’t transmit data. Try again later”. I’ll try later, but just in case there is something wrong behind the scenes, perhaps someone can take a look and get it to work?

[@andre] VSDC video editor is distributed as a freemium always free edition and you must enter a license key and activate the premium Pro features. The always Free edition has been very usable in past version, personally I’ve kept the last lifetime giveaways of the Pro license before they switched to 12 month giveaway license… as it was a better deal than actually paying as that was and I believe still entirely subscription based. I have no desire or use for AI generated content so I see no reason to install it or subscribe to Pro. Note you might be able to fool the license pro license countdown by launching the program ONLY via Nirsofts Runasdate64.exe and setting the date to a date while the license is still active so the program thinks it’s still Pro and has no idea the license may really have expired.
You can easily register with the key provided.

Wonder if anyone ran into the following problem. I’d had a previous giveaway
edition installed and working fine, so probably a big mistake on my part to have uninstalled it in favor of a later one. The later version then failed to load, supposedly due to missing mfc140u.dll, from MS Visual Studio C++. Replaced that DLL with the most recent one, into Win-10’s DLL repository and into the VSDC editor folder, but this made no difference. Always the same error, when trying to load the program. (“The application was unable to start correctly. 0xc000007b. Click OK to close the program”) The problem is, a lot of people had multiple versions of that Visual Studio that were installed, by various programs. There was some advice online that one should remove some of those previous ones . . . but this can cripple those other, previously installed programs, and you’d never be sure what went wrong. Still looking for the right solution. So the program is dead and unusable. [Fortunately, I have several other video editors here, and this one was not often used. Some of its functionality may be duplicated in other VSDC products, like their Video Converter ?]A follow-up to my post from yesterday. The cause of the failure may not get uncovered, but I removed the dead wood and instead installed a portable edition of version 9.1.1., which does load and will work. Better to have a two versions behind yet functional edition than a non-working current version, or none at all.
