[@Oskar] Hi, this offer doesn’t include free updates, please check it out on the promo page. You can reinstall the setup file from the checkout and then register it again using your license.
Version 3.0 This the same version nr than giveaway on this site on 29/10/2024
Version 3.0 youtube downloader is LOOOOOONG out of date and has been implemented in a way that prevents the downloader module based upon open source project from being updated manually or automatically. It does not work and initially offers to do an upgrade BUT the upgrade tries to install the current version 4.1 which will invalidate the giveaway license for 3.0, I have other better designed downloaders so probably won’t re-install the ytb.exe and python files used to download media to a current version to try and make it work like it probably did a couple of years ago.
[@TK] I found a simple solution to youtube downloader failure… get a current copy of yt-dlp_x86.exe from the github projects releases page and replace the broken ytb.exe with the renamed current yt-dlp_x86.exe file. You can either keep the file updated manually by revisiting releases page and getting latest version when changes are needed or launch an admin command prompt in the youtube folder and execute the command line “ytb.exe -U” and if it has an internet connection it will self update to the current release build.
