    Hi,
I do not quite understand this thing: for this software, I see a rating of only 33% of satisfaction.
So, I come here, where it is possible to discuss this offer, and … surprise!: I do not see any comments, and in particular, no negative comments. Where are the voters?
So, how can the score be 33%? No comments, so, no rating ! Am I wrong ?
For my part that I don’t know if the note is or is not justified.

Why a giveaway for something that has`nt been developed for years?
    The product is therefore dead.

It is puzzling to see the low approval rating of the software without much in the way of criticism, constructive or otherwise.

Personally, I have used the Pro version of Malwarebytes for many years and it seems to be fine for me. I am a little reluctant to try similar software like I have in the past resulting in conflicts and a computer mess to clean up.

Because I didn’t bother to download and try the software I refrained from voting.

I picked this up and have been running 4.5.0.0 for less than a year. I very much like it – but it is not not trivial. These are my comments on the version I have.

The software simply alerts you to outgoing internet requests and suspicious internal activity. Suspicious is defined as new or unauthorized.

Examples are MS calls to home to send information about your resident music and pictures (yes MS is spying), calls to a company like AKAMAI who collects data off your computer without your permission, google who is the biggest data hoarder, it also traps new programs authorized or not. It also traps new programs running from files. It does that well

Xvirus then gives you options – this is where it needs improvement- you are given choices.
    1. to remember the decision or not. and
    2. to allow or block.

    The room for improvement:

Some of the activity is temporary, such as setting up a new software from a temporary directory or file.
Xvirus should tell us the file name and offer an option to allow or block for this session. That is because installation and one time use of software fill the firewall list with clutter.

    * Reaching the firewall list to remove or find an action blocked or allowed and remove or change is a wee convoluted.
    * Once the list is reached there is no way to search for an item, – suppose you blocked Adobe (for flash) and later discovered Acrobat wouldn’t run because Adobe was blocked. you must search manually.
    * the list is not expandable. this means to find the line item containing “Adobe” requires horizontal scrolling.
    * the list is not sort-able A-Z or Z-A
    * there is no “Session block” or “Session Allow” (a temporary firewall) so while installing a program to test and delete puts a permanent allow or block into the file.
    * Accessing the firewall could be easier. for example, when an item is blocked and a notification pops up users might have an option for how long it is up and and an option to temporarily override the block without needing to open the Xvirus firewall – find the offending item and manually changing it’s permissions.

Overall – and this is personal – it is the best firewall as it gives sers far more awareness of what is going on, It needs more development in the issues listed.

    Thanks for making this available

Wish I knew which version it was.

very bad interface, It seems very badly achieved, if you do not strive in good looks, your lacked of compromised will be disastrously criticized, as the consumer deepens its parameters, and many things are missing.
