Up until version 10 this program used to be the best and was only missing an editor from version 11 it lost its status but now have an editor ,if there is ever a v10.5 or so with an editor it should be back in the position it was before a great little program that worked very well .

I plug in the registration number that was given to me by email, and it will not work. Can you please fix this for me?

[@Carlos] What do you feel is wrong with version 11? I’m running 11.1.16 and don’t see any step backward so far. I mostly use it to capture music lesson videos and desktop/browser stuff. The one time I tried it on a full screen game (browser-based) it worked fine. Just curious…. Thanks!

[@Carlos] Thanks for your update, Carlos! You helped me to better understand your concerns.

I never tried to “make a quick photo” but saw the button and gave it a click. It uses the same selection frame as for video (which is easy to use), the area inside the green rectangle was captured. It took me a while to figure out where the file was saved (in the same folder as videos). You’re right, there is no way to specify an output folder for screenshots or videos. I guess that never bothered me, everything goes to \username\Videos. Easy to move things from there. And much better than \username\Videos\Recorded Videos\Recorded Videos\, which is used by another program. Not including a folder selection setting means there’s that much less memory needed to run the program. I have a nice file manager to take care of such things (Free Commander XE).

So for my way of working, it’s still great. Audio is always in synch, video doesn’t skip or stutter. I just realized it has a markup/notation feature, and it’s possible to set start & stop recording times, record a separate audio file. Thanks for getting me to take another look at the program’s capabilities. It’s still my recommended favorite.

For such programs required to run only when specifically being used, I always appreciate a portable version when available. Since I had a previous portable version of this, I downloaded this current portable version from their website and this registration worked in that. The few times I have used this program, it worked well.
