[@Tudor] Replicaro does not charge you anything. The cost of cloud storage is whatever you pay to the cloud storage provider. So it depends on which one you pick. You can also use Replicaro to save your backups locally or on your network rather than the cloud.
[@Charlie] This is something that is uncertain right now. Google is changing how they allow access to Google Drive’s API. If Google goes through with the changes, then Replicaro will be updated with the new directions on how to connect to Google Drive (you will need to create your own free client_id).
For now, just use Replicaro as normal. You will be able to easily switch to your own client_id without affecting your backups if Google makes the switch in the future. The client_id has nothing to do with your backups; it has to do with how the backups are accessed.
[@Stu] Dropbox/Google Drive/OneDrive are slow because that’s how Dropbox/Google/Microsoft designed those cloud drives — it is not controlled by Replicaro. However, I am releasing v1.0.1 in a few hours that has a couple fixes that should speed up Google Drive connections.
[@David] This is not intended as a whole system image-based backup. If your system crashes, reinstall Windows/Mac/Linux, install Replicaro, connect to your vault, and restore your files.
[@Russ] It is true. I created it.
[@sara] I submitted a request for Kaspersky to fix the false positive
[@[email protected]] Meaning a limit on the size of files you can backup? No there is no limit
[@BreMM] Replicaro is 100% free and open source. I am fixing the SharewareOnSale listing.
