Über 330 Arten sind wissenschaftlich ausführlich beschrieben (Wikipediatexte) und bebildert, wobei nicht nur die botanischen Eigenschaften, sondern auch die Bedeutung der Pflanzen für den Menschen, sei es in der Medizin oder im Brauchtum, zur Sprache kommen.

Die App funktioniert auch offline und erlaubt es jeder Pflanze eigene Beobachtungen in Wort, Bild und Video hinzuzufügen. Die Suche kann über die gebräuchlichsten deutschen Namen oder die lateinischen Namen erfolgen. Die Pflanzen sind nach Blütenfarben gegliedert, so dass eine rasche Bestimmung im Feld möglich ist.
