Cuba Orders and Medals [for Android]

The description of the award objects includes the merit for the award, some people that have been distinguished with it, different degrees and emissions, some interesting facts connected with the award, the rarity and the price of the items. Some of the awards (mostly emissions between 1961 and 1979), have been relatively unknown and are only exhibited in the Numismatic Museum of Havana.

The electronic catalogue in the application provides information about the different emissions of the awards (for example, we consider 3 different emissions of Hero of Cuba which are described according to their size, weight and bullion composition as award objects). There are also some parallel photos of the different emissions that represent them in comparison.

The Information menu contains data about the size of the orders, their ribbons, some historical facts, their degrees and classes, and a general description of the seven categories of award items included in the catalogue.

For now, the application is available in three languages - English, Russian, Bulgarian.

Technical data: The application works offline. The most important information about the items that are viewed is compressed and then loaded on the mobile device. Once loaded, this information is refreshed online only, if it has been updated on the server. Thus as much as 70% to 90% of the content (depending on the device screen density and dimensions) can be viewed without the need to be connected to the internet.

The available information will be regularly updated on the server. A new category of items is waiting to be added, that will include the Republican Awards of Cuba, like Grand Cross of the Order of Carlos Manuel de Cespedes, Grand Cross of the Order of The Red Cross, The Order of Military Merit, First Class – Dark Red, The Order of Military Merit, First Class – Purple, The Order of Military Merit, First Class – Half Red, half white, The Order of Military Merit, First Class – Green, and others.
