Reviews for Eassos System Restore
Works with Windows 10 Pro 64 bit but not with Windows 7 Pro 64 bit. As a consulting engineer I recommended this program for backup but suddenly it gave up working on my Windows 7 Pro machine and the company did not respond to my request for help. I have returned to Norton Ghost as the backup program for Windows 7 but still use Eassos System Restore for Windows 10.
I liked this that much I downloaded it, and then paid for it, at first I was lost, and my mbr was overwritten, my fault entirely, but I was able to fix that with a windows startup repair from my dongle. Once back in I would not normally try a second time, but living dangerously I did, and I am glad I did, now my system is all backed up onto an externel hard drive, and I have set it to do and Incremental backup every week.
Thank you for the initial download, but I wanted to be able to get the updates, I now get New updates and Major changes for life, all for £30, worth every penny. Happy that I got it.
Hardware failure or system infections and crashes are the worst nightmare of a PC user. It can happen to anyone, anytime. The solution to this problem is a good backup and restore system, that lets you take regular backups and also allows for them to be restored to your PC in the most convenient way.
Eassos System Restore is a software application designed to be a life savior in cases of hardware failures and system crashes. It aims to help you create a backup of the entire operating system, so that you can restore it to a fully functional state if and when something goes wrong.
Overview
The download is small (~25MB) and the installation process is very simple and straightforward. Something that makes this software application suitable for all kind of users is its simple user interface. The user interface contains two dedicated buttons “Backup” and “Restore”. You just have to click one button and the system starts to backup, same is the case with restore. This simple UI without a lot of configurations and complications help the inexperienced system owners to easily backup and safeguard their PC against system crashes.
Pros
Easy backup of OSThe task of backup and restore of the system might sound like a difficult mission, but Eassos System Restore makes this task so much simpler. It’s ease of use is an impressing and important feature. It makes backup and restore seem like tasks that are only one-click away. Moreover, it guides the user through the whole process by simple wizard and east to understand options.
Extensive controls and settingsIf you are low on storage space or doing a backup on a USB flash drive, you might be concerned about the size of the backup created. It allows you to choose what to exclude and what to include in your backups. Moreover an option to change the compression rate is provided to suit different situations and the needs of different users. A high compression rate would reduce the backup size but will take more time to complete the backup and vice versa.
Password protected system backupsEassos System Restore creates and stores backup in a newly created, hidden partition. You can set the size of backup partition and also assign short comments so it’s easier to identify the backups. To prevent and avoid any unauthorized access aand modification, the backup section can be password protected if the user wants it to be.
Restore Windows to a working stateAlthough it has the same purpose as Windows restore points but is better than it as it is more user friendly and provides more customizable options.
Cons
Only System BackupAs the name says it, this tool does back up of only the system drive. You cannot add to your backup any other drives.
No restore pointIt does changes to your boot-up file and MBR without creating a restore point. If something goes wrong you’ll be lost without any obvious solution.
My Favourite Features
Simplicity and Ease of useFor me the best thing about this software application is the simplicity and ease of use it delivers to the users. The whole backup and restore process has been compressed in to just two dedicated buttons, just click the one that’s required and that it.
Control over backup and it’s sizeThe option to let users choose what to add to backup and what not to is great for users like me who are always short on storage. The compression rate is great option that lets you choose between space and speed.
Conclusion
Eassos System Restore is a tool perfect for users looking for straightforward and effortless backup and restore solutions. The procedure is pretty simple but for the experienced and advanced users it does contain configurations to tweak with. This lightweight tool is definitely worth keeping in your tool box to backup and safeguard your PC against unexpected crashes and failures.
Very good software. Work very well.
Crashed my system, do not download or install! Took hours to fix.

Thanks.
Only does System and Reserve backup. You can’t add other drives. Only backs up to D drive. It will change your boot-up file. I’ll stay with Easeus total backup which backs up each drive to an external hard drive.
I have successfully used Eassos System Restore on two of my three laptops for over a year. One unit, an eight year old Netbook with 2GB RAM and a Celeron processor would not handle the Eassos System Restore program. It should be pointed out that the backup MUST be done on a partition on the main hard drive or SSD. I back up these backups to an external drive in the even it is necessary to wipe the hard drive or SSD completely

If this is confirmed, and backup can be done only on the main disk drive, then this software is downright stupid. Especially since, according to other accounts, it can only backup the system, and not data drives. What’s the point of imaging the system on the system disk, if the system disk goes belly up ?
This would be the equivalent of some notebooks shipping with a backup partition. You can restore the system from there if you have a software problem. However, if you have a hardware problem and your disk does not start, what do you do ?
If you need to use a second backup program to backup your backups on a proper backup disk, then why don’t you chose a proper backup program in the first place ?
System failures come unannounced. As such, you need to be a step ahead in safeguarding your important files and applications. Having said that, Eassos System Restore presents a rather simple but feature-filled solution to keep your backups up to speed at all times. Although I am avid user of other backup solutions, I was pretty sure this package would offer a new experience. Here is what I found out.
At a Glance
Eassos System Restore’s easy installation steps will see you take off the ground in no time. As a matter of fact, the main window has two dedicated buttons that ensure you are only one click away from backing up or recovering your system. The uncluttered interface ensures even novice users can make this software their daily tool.
Pros
Easy to Use
Although feature-filled, the program’s main interface speaks otherwise. The fine line on which the developers treaded seemed to have paid off in ensuring users find it easy to backup and restore their systems. To access the meat of this program, one needs to head over to the dropdown option on the top right side of the interface to reveal a whole bunch of useful Backup, Restore, and Boot settings.
Extensive and Flexible Settings
Correct backing up of your system demands a careful approach. At the same time, you need control on how the process takes place. Thankfully, I was able to access a whole set of variables under Options. In the Back up tab, I found the Compression speed options and Exclude Folders configurations really helpful.
The configurations in the Boot tab, under Options allowed me to choose how I wanted to restore my system. To start with, you can choose the timeout period for pressing a pre-defined key to trigger the restore process. Further, you could choose to automatically start a backup or restore when you launch the program.
Make a Bootable USB Stick with Your Restore Files
At times, your system can completely crash. Given such possibilities, one of the best alternatives to deal with such situations is having a Bootable USB Stick that can initiate Eassos System Restore when you power up your computer. As a result, you could restore your system back to the state of your last backup.
Easily Rebuild the MBR
While resizing or deleting partitions on your computer, you could easily mess up the Master Boot Record. On booting your computer, it will prompt you about the missing MBR. With the Eassos System Restore on a bootable USB, you will only be a steps away from fixing the MBR.
Con
No Cloud Syncing
Unless you know how to go about selecting the appropriate backup location for your backup, you could easily end up losing everything if your hard drive totally fails. A dedicated folder with an online account for Eassos System Restore would have been more useful at this day and age when cloud storage is the order of the day.
Conclusion
With only few clicks, you can easily backup or restore your system. Further, you can explore the configurations that Eassos System Restore provides to have control over how the process takes place. This tool could easily be your companion for most things backup-and-restore.
System backup and restore sits at the very heart of any PC owner or IT technician who cannot afford to build a system from scratch in case it crashes. A good backup and restore system should let you create a variety of backups and store them in a convenient way that will help you restore a PC in the most convenient way possible. Eassos System Restore gives a shot at this in what in my opinion is a bare thread backup tool that doesn’t deviate from its intention.
Pros
Simple and Straightforward
Eassos System restore, to me, is a focused tool that knows what it is up to and how to do it. You will get two big buttons on launching the software. A backup button and a repair button. This simple and straightforward layout makes it a very simple tool to use even to the inexperienced system owners. There aren’t so many parameters to configure before creating your first backup and restoration is equally easy.
Two Clever Options to Recover a Crashed PC
Most of the times, you will have to restore your PC at times when it can’t boot to Windows. At such cases, you will need an inbuilt system restore that can be activated with a shortcut key during the pre-boot sequence or creating a bootable USB drive.
The settings option for Eassos System Restore will let you alter the boot options so that you can automatically launch Eassos System Restore without running the Windows OS. A USB bootable disc will come in handy if you don’t prefer the first option and have a dedicated flash disk that can hold your system image.
Control Over What to Backup and What to Skip
If you are keen on the size of the backup, you can use the options pane to decide what files to exclude and what goes into your backup. The exclude option by default skips cache and temp files but it is up to you to choose additional options like system patch files among others. After this, you can choose the compression rate to trade off between backup speed and size. This is especially useful if you want to backup to a USB drive.
Cons
Doesn’t create a restore point before editing MBR
In my opinion, anything that edits or deals with the MBR and associated files must create a restore point before making any changes. The initial Eassos System Restore run attempts to do this without creating the restore point. Even though there is an inbuilt tool to repair the MBR, you will be lost and crashed if things go wrong and you hadn’t activated the pre boot recovery.
Verdict
Eassos is a perfect backup tool for anyone who wants a straightforward backup and restore procedure. It will also come in handy when you crash your PC and already have a backup in place which makes it a light and worthy tool to own.

Thanks for mentioning that it changes the MBR.
For that reason I will avoid it like the plague
