O R-Tetris é um jogo de destreza semelhante ao famoso Tetris, jogado por um jogador que durante 1 minuto vai empilhando os resíduos nos ecopontos corretos.
Os resíduos surgem do topo, num movimento descendente, até colidirem com um contentor ou resíduo. O jogador tem que direcionar o resíduo para o contentor certo, e fazer o máximo possível de linhas horizontais.
As linhas são feitas e contabilizadas quando o jogador conseguir alinhar 4 resíduos na horizontal, ou seja, 1 resíduo de cada tipo. Os restantes resíduos descem um nível.
Se o jogador colocar um resíduo numa coluna errada, perde uma vida.
O jogador muda de nível ao fim de 1 minuto e os resíduos em jogo transitam para o nível seguinte.
No final de cada nível o jogador ganha pontos extras majorados conforme o nível e os resíduos separados nesse nível.
Para tornar mais interessante o jogo, a partir do 4º nível e em intervalos de tempo aleatórios, aparece uma caixa surpresa.
O jogador tem que acionar a caixa surpresa antes que chegue ao fundo, senão perde uma vida.
Ao acionar a caixa surpresa a imagem é substituída por um resíduo com uma vida ou pontos extra. O jogador ganha o extra se conseguir colocar rapidamente o resíduo, no ecoponto correto.
O jogador perde o jogo se ficar com zero vidas.
Conforme vai completando os níveis, o jogador vai precisar de maior destreza pois os resíduos vão se deslocando com maior velocidade, tornando mais difícil a sua separação.
