La Fisiognomía tiene más de 3.000 años de antigüedad —los chinos la llamaban Miang Xiang o el arte de leer los rostros—, pero ha sido observada y practicada por numerosos científicos, hasta el punto de convertirse en una pseudociencia llamada PSICOMORFOLOGÍA que el psiquiatra francés Louis Corman (1901-1995) ya describió en 1937 y que hoy está retomando una cierto impulso para sus aplicaciones prácticas en el mundo de los negocios, la selección de personal o la criminología.
De siempre se ha dicho que el rostro es el espejo del alma. 2) La zona AFECTIVA o emotiva (nariz, ojos, oídos), será el reflejo de la vida emotiva, porque la nariz, a través de la vía respiratoria, tiene conexión directa con el pecho, con el corazón, que desde siempre se ha considerado el depositario de los sentimientos de la persona
3) La zona sensitiva o material (labios, boca, mentón), gracias a su conexión desde la boca con el estómago y el vientre, será la indicadora de la vida instintiva y material.
En consecuencia, la zona del rostro que destaque en altura sobre las otras dos nos informará del predominio Mental, Afectivo o Sensitivo del carácter de la persona analizada. Ahora bien, aunque una zona sea predominante, también deben tomarse en consideración los elementos contenidos en las demás zonas.
Asimismo, en un rostro pueden destacar simultáneamente dos zonas con la misma altura y, en el caso no demasiado frecuente de que las tres zonas sean equiparables o incluso iguales, se tratará de personas especialmente equilibradas psíquicamente.
Dos consejos importantes: toma en consideración y valora un detalle de un rostro sólo cuando éste despunte de una manera clara, y evita extraer conclusiones sin que, al menos, dos indicadores apunten en la misma dirección.
