Speed up your work – just paste instead of typing!
Flashpaste provides a powerful and highly effective solution for saving time with typing. You can use the software for typing and using text templates in a way that greatly extends the standard clipboard provided in Windows. No longer will you have to constantly cut and paste multiple texts from different sources. Not only does this solution allow you to save time however; it also helps to avoid inevitable misprints from manually typing everything out each time. For casual computer users, the clipboard may be enough, but in many cases, it simply lacks the features that are required for saving time and getting the job done reliably and quickly.
Create and use text templates
Flashpaste is useful for working with frequently-used sections of text or code and you can create and use templates in minimal time. Once you have configured your preferred templates, you can organize them into categories so that you can find the segment of text or code which you need in no time. All texts and codes which you use most frequently can be entered into any text input section of a program with just a couple of clicks of the mouse.
Who can benefit from Flashpaste?
Speed typing is ideal for anyone who regularly sends out emails, writes documents or programming code. It’s no longer necessary to look around through old documents and emails to find the text which you want to re-use and then manually copy and paste it into the new document. It’s an extremely useful tool for web developers, customer support representatives and anyone else who wants to take advantage of the powers afforded by speed typing. Customer support is a particularly suitable area for those who want to use speed typing techniques, since you will no longer need to manually type or copy and paste regularly used greetings, questions or other messages.
Flashpaste is an easily solution to use and setting it up is straightforward. While it may still take some time to configure large numbers of different templates, once it is done, you will never need to do it again. From that point on, you will have quick and easy access to any text which you regularly use.
Support for macros
The speed typing software also provides support for macros and there are many different types of macros supported. These macros include the ability to automatically paste the current data and time into a template, without having to manually alter it once the text has been inserted. Many other macros are supported as well.
Clipboard history
Flashpaste greatly extends the very limited Windows clipboard feature, or indeed the more advanced clipboard features included in many productivity applications. A clipboard history feature is included too. While this feature is very simple, it is also extremely useful. This means that, every time you copy something manually, you will be able to paste it again with just a few clicks of the mouse. The clipboard history is saved instead of being overwritten every time you want to go back to previously typed work.

Reviews for Flashpaste
As a programmer and website designer, I enter a lot of text over and over and over and…well, you know. But a lot of it isn’t always exactly the same; there might be one word in 20 that changes every time such as calling a function and sending certain variables to it. So macros are a big deal for me. I can define a macro very easily where I can type the variable text, run the macro, and it will replace the one or two words I typed with the entire text of the function call or whatever code with the changeable text in the right place.
This is the one area where my usual clipboard manager fell woefully short, so I’m very happy to have found Flashpaste.
If you don’t know alternatives, Flashpaste is okay, despite of the fact that it is somewhat cumbersome (to get results requires several key combinations.).
I write and program a lot and have tested every “highly effective solution for saving time with typing”. However Nagarsoft Phrase Expander (commercial) is king in this area… and if you team it with Ditto (open source), well you don’t need anything else. Last but not least both are very easy to use, Nagasoft PE, just one key and Ditto three mouse clicks.
In any case, if you are barefoot and looking for an app to boost your productivity, go ahead and take advantage of this generous free offer.

I concur the same. Little reason to use this instead of the semi-free and far superior PhraseExpress. I too have combined it with the free Ditto app for a quick & flawless automation routine over the years. For anyone serious about automation, I suggest going this route.
This (program comparatives from knowledgeable users, with highly recommended alternatives — and explanations WHY) that we so desperately need here, but seem to get all too infrequently. Thanks !
Your condescending tone makes your review SO MUCH more believable!
LOL
The fact is that I’ve tried many of these types of programs and while Flashpaste may not be the clear winner in the category, the fact that it will do 95% of what Phrase Expander will do with a much lower learning curve and setup cost in time makes me wonder if your review might be a bit disingenuous…or even sponsored.
But the biggest issue is…these programs are for different things. Flashpaste doesn’t claim to do this “fill in a form by clicking buttons” which seems to be the main functionality of Phrase Expander. And with Flashpaste, one can type in all those fields on separate lines of a text file, CTRL-A, CTRL-C, then activate Flashpaste and a template using the List() function to generate the same block of text Phrase Expander does. Granted, it could be a matter of familiarity at this point, but I can set up a macro in Flashpaste a lot faster than I can in Phrase Expander that will do the same thing. And I’ll give you that having those radio buttons is nice…but that doesn’t make it a better program, at least not in my opinion.
If preferring a program that lets me do more with a lower learning curve and easier setup every time I have a new use for it makes me a barefoot who doesn’t know alternatives in your eyes…that’s all anyone needs to know about you.
Your productivity at work depends on your typing speed to a certain extent. That is why most companies opt to employ individuals with fast typing speeds at the front desk. However, many ways exist to hack your typing speed. It comes in the form a program called Flashpaste. What this program gives users is a useful way of extending the computer’s clipboard. Here are the things I noted while using the software.
Flashpaste at a glance
With an installation file of less than 2 MB, rest assured that you would have a smooth time downloading and installing this program. Right away, it is important to note that this software does not play any part in enhancing your typing speed. What it actually does is extend the capabilities of your computer’s default clipboard.
Easy to use without prior knowledge
One of the simple ways this program enhances your work experience is by allowing you to create templates. In turn, the templates will contain your customize texts for use in different situations. Further, it is easy to categorize your templates for organizational purposes and access.
Keeps clipboard history
Normally, copying something while using your computer will overwrite the previous content. In such situations, I found Flashpaste helpful as I could just check the items in its history to quickly access certain content instead of copying it again before pasting. In particular, this feature will come in handy if the content involved is a long typed list or several paragraphs.
Light on computer resources
Having used Clipa Vu in the past, Flashpaste clearly tops it in terms of speed and responsiveness. At some point, you might not remember that is an installed app and confuse it for a default software. From navigating through the collection of templates to searching for specific templates, this program shows no impact on your system’s performance. I still noted its lightweight nature while I was live streaming a high definition match as it responded rather snappy.
Verdict
Flashpaste can be your go-to application if you always type the same content on a regular basis. Common examples of such content include e-mails and related correspondences. Instead of typing that content each time, you can take advantage of Flashpaste’s templates to specify the content for later use. The program is also light and easy to use. Within a few hours of use, you would have found your footing.
Flashpaste is an amazing tool to the lazy typer. It will give you hints on net word to use when composing text hence saving you the pain of having to do it yourself. Though the database of available is quite impressive, you will occasionally find that the vocabulary and tone will not always be perfect for your text.
When can you use it?
Flashtype markets itself as a typing assistance tool. Many people (I included) would confuse it for a replacement to tiresome typing. This will just lead to frustrations. After using it for 3 hours, I decided that it is just but an amazing tool to automating sections of text or code that will repeat themselves more than once in a given project. The ability to create and categorize your own templates gives you the power to populate any document or file you create with those mundane corporate introductions and declarations or a script with the regular lines of code.
Pros
Light and very fast
The simple search and insert functionality works very fast. If you categorize your text snippets well, you’ll just be clicking down a navigation tree to access the specific text you want. This is quite useful especially if you intent to accumulate thousands of templates.
A good tool to support and programmers
Customer support guys who make a living off sending redundant emails and chat message will find Flashtype quite useful. Programmers are also another lot who will definitely find it useful.
Clipboard history
This was by far my favorite aspect of the app. I keep on overwriting my clipboard. Flashtype keeps a record of my latest clipboard history hence extending on Microsoft’s limited clipboard that overwrites content every time you make a new copy or cut.
Cons
It isn’t intelligent
Don’t expect Flashtype to predict your text, because it won’t. It’s just meant to help you navigate to a predetermined text. It is up to you to think out how each snippets should follow each other and create sensible text.
Verdict
Flashtype is an amazing tool if you use it for the right work – automating redundant text. If you decide to use it as a hands-free typing tool, you will end up frustrated, especially if you are a fast typer.
I use Flash Past several years ago. I develop systems and this program helps me a lot with routines that I use frequently.
