Reviews for COLOR Projects 5
I am autistic, and it is normal for an autistic to be blunt. I will try writing a review again now, and hopefully this time it will be approved by the moderators. First, I am very happy with this software. There are hundreds of settings for every image. I have used multiple of this company’s products (Franzis Design) and even recommended them to professional graphic artists on reddit. I am very happy with their software. But as someone who went to college for both Computer Engineering and Computer Science, and someone who is very blunt as an autistic, it bothers me when programs have poor user interface design. It would take far longer then this review to list every option I tried to save the settings for an image. But I tried going thru every menu option, I tried changing the program settings (and there is no option to remember settings), I tried dragging an image over another image that has the settings I want on the new image, I tried importing / exporting, tried creating a gallery of settings, etc. After a few hours, I finally figured out how to save the settings, but I stand by what I wrote in my original review, if it takes a few hours to figure out how to save the settings for a graphic image, that is poor program design (atleast of the user interface). However, as far as the software features / and filters, and ability to enhance and improve graphic images, I have not seen any other program as good as this one. And as I said, I recommended this program and others by this company to people I ran into on Reddit who are in the graphic design business. I highly recommend the software, but it can be difficult to use the user interface, it is poorly designed that way.

I gave you a yes on the Helpful evaluation, but I would bet you would get a whole lot more if you would document and share the fruit of your hours of labor in finding how to save the settings. You say you found out how to do that for a graphic image; would those work also for a photographic image? Thank you for your review.
I went to college for Computer Engineering and Computer Science, and I really like their software, BUT there is NO WAY to save the settings. When using the software by this company, you basically have to write all the settings down on a piece of paper and keep that paper next to you when using the program, if you want to add those settings to a different image. Saying this is incompetent programming does’nt begin to cover it. I gave it 4 stars because of all the features, but having to write down the settings for the image on a piece of paper, and re-enter the settings for every image, is just insane.
Already have this program; Great Software
Color Projects 4, being offered in 2018, is a highly-featured program equivalent to the Professional versions for some other Franzis products. It has many, many more features than the current Color Projects 5 Elements. Compared with the top-of-the-line full Color Projects 5, it lacks compositing (the ability to replace part of the image with another image, such as replacing a sky), a few presets, a few filter effects, and reworked film simulations.
Franzis products try to give you a simplified “first cut” at your editing by providing a large collection of presets. From there, you can drill down into a seemingly bottomless rabbit hole of modifications, adjustments, and tweaks. If you do modify or adjust a preset, you can save the result as a personal preset, if you’d like. Or you can save it to disk. That’s important because when you’re done twiddling an image, if you only save the final JPEG, the modified preset is NOT stored with it. If you want to come back to twiddle some more, you’ll either want to either save the preset or save the whole project — but be aware that when you save a project, Franzis will make a full-size copy of the input file in the project folder.
The Franzis user interface is an acquired taste. One particular annoyance is that there is no “undo” capability. You can forget about the CTRL-Z; it simply doesn’t work in Franzis. Unless you happened to save a project checkpoint, you’ll just have to reset everything manually (if you remember how they were). Furthermore, changes made in the “RAW” module (whick also works on JPEGs) can’t even be reset once you’ve applied them. This is counter-intuitive to those of us who think of Raw development as re-adjustable while later detailed edits might not be. If you want to undo or adjust changes you’ve applied in RAW, you’ll need to either start over by re-opening the input file, or load a checkpoint you saved before making the RAW changes. There is an option for the program to automatically save a checkpoint every time you open the RAW module — you might want to turn that on.
If you can get on with the Franzis user interface, Color Projects 4 provides a lot of power.
It seems to have a lot of filters so you can easily apply after you review. It’s a time saving tool for those who want a quick graphic manipulation. Highly recommend this
good!
Today’s COLOR Projects Premium is a great program for bringing pictures to life. The installation was simple and a quick test showed impressive results. Thank You very much.
Easy to use
The best software I’ve ever used.
Today’s COLOR Projects Premium is a great program for bringing pictures to life. The installation was simple and a quick test showed impressive results. Thank You very much.
Color projects premium is a software designed to completely transform the way your images look by enhancing color. It achieves this by applying effects simultaneously to create a desirable feel. The software is easy to use and contains a range of presets that you can apply by a single click.
Installation and user interface
After a cumbersome installation process, that involved waiting for extended periods to receive the registration code in my email and unfruitful attempts at finding the English version of their website, I finally managed to get Color projects premium up and running.
The user interface doesn’t contain as many settings as you’d expect to find in a photo editor. The main menu contains basic functions like creating a new project, a preview of the default settings, saving options, and a zoom feature.
The left sidebar features your image rendered through multiple settings that are available by default. These images help save time since most of the time, you’ll find one that works best for you. On the right sidebar, there’s a post processing feature, photo film emulation, and effects.
Functionality
To use the software, just click to add an image from the main window and let it load in a new window complete with the settings. Preview through the available options to see if there’s an image you’ll love or use the settings on the right to create wonderful effects.
Getting a little adventurous with this software is exciting for both professionals and novices. You only have to select an effect on the right and fine tune using the tool on the bottom right. It took me only a few minutes to learn using Color projects premium.
Pro
• Color projects premium features a clean user interface that allows for easy access to tools and settings needed in color enhancement.
• Easy to navigate through the software and apply color-filters
• Doesn’t reduce photo quality
• Allows for batch processing
• Allows for better sorting of processed images. You can set individual files to save to different folders from batch processed files.
• Can emulate images taken from different cameras
Cons
• Site not available in English.
Conclusion
Color projects premium is a nice software with a good interface and kind on computer resources. Editing photos is easy. It also has several preset options that you can easily choose from. It is definitely worth downloading for those who need a tool for basic photo editing.

its a waste of time waiting for the code that never comes
A web site in English has already been created by FRANZIS, to launch their newest range of “Project” software.
Check it, e.g., for COLOR projects 4

Site not available in English? I don’t get it. If I click the link at the beginning of the description, it takes me to Color Projects site in English…
Just click the link at the beginning of the description and it will take you to the English site.
Dennis, just click the link at the very beginning of the description and it will take you direct to the site in English.
“Site not available in English.” – today its not true. Site is english too: https://www.projects-software.com
Nice to have, but since Google are given away the Google Nik Filters free of charge I feel in honesty that this older version of Color Projects does not stand comparison. As I said nice to have as an extra, but not an ace product.

Nik Filters have been sold by Google, and is no longer free
Google Nik Filters might be free of charge, but Photoshop certainly isn’t.
Google Nik Filters are not free now.
