Reviews for Ashampoo Snap 10
Actually works remarkably well, and has a fantastic, powerful feature set, including video capture, website capture, all basic editing tools, and even some more advanced ones. It’s really well thought out. This might become my go-to capturing tool now. UI isn’t great and looks a bit ugly sometimes, but it’s still better than a lot of what’s out there.
I love Snap 10! Couldn’t get any better
Very good program … I have Snap 11 – this previous version is also very good, several options.
I used another program at work that didn’t offer most of the features of Snap 9, and it consumed about 4X more memory than Snap 9. Snap 9 is excellent for screenshots, especially when you need to crop or blur or add text or symbols, and I like the way I can rename the picture before saving it, and if it’s not the shot I want, I can delete it before it goes to my disk. Once you add a symbol or text you can go back to it later and change it. I think I started with Snap 6 years ago, and Snap 9 is the best version yet. Don’t know what Snap 10 does differently but I’m very happy with Snap 9. Recommended if you do any screen captures, or need an easy way to mark up a page and send it to someone!
The PRO function inside the apps quite impressive unlike some screen recorder which lack of photo editing feature . Highly recommended
A screen recorder can be used for many purposes, it can capture and share your recording straight from your desktop. It can be used to stream gameplay, demonstrate how a software works, or even teach someone else how to do a certain task. There are many screen recorder applications available, of which, most contain only basic features and do not offer more features and tools to edit.
Ashampoo Snap 8 is a reliable software application designed to help you take snapshots and capture video recordings. Along with recording, the application comes with all the tools for capturing and editing, making it a great choice when it comes to the screen recorder application.

A program that exceeds my expectations.
Its many features make it very powerful and versatile.
I’ve been using the Snap software for years and think it’s the best and easiest ‘screenshot’ software out there. Nice to get the latest one for free. I have all of them – dating back to version 4
Ashampoo Snap 8 promises to revamp your screenshot-taking experience. It will let you overcome most of the challenges you face when you want to capture your screen for demonstration purposes. The only way I could know what this program truly offers was through testing it. The following review summarizes my experience.
At a glance
Installing Ashampoo Snap 8 is a breeze. After the installation, proceed to access what the program offers by hovering your mouse pointer at the top right side of your screen. You can also access the options from the system tray. I used the floating menu more often than the system tray option. As you hover from one feature to another, you will get additional info about each.
Pros
Capture precise screenshots
There is more that goes into capturing screenshots than just sharing them on the web. More often than not, the need to capture specific-sized photos arises. In such situation, Snap 8 will come in handy. Take advantage of the pre-defined sizes using the Capture Fixed Region option. This option will let you choose your preferred size.
Effective in capturing entire web pages
Before I started using Ashampoo Snap 8, I faced many challenges trying to share entire web pages. I had to take individual screenshots with different sections of the pages as I scrolled down. Afterward, I had to use Photoshop to patch up the sections. The process was practical but lengthy. Snap 8 greatly simplifies that process and I now use few clicks to capture my pages with its auto scroll feature.
Captures high quality screenshots
After using Ashampoo Snap 8 for a short while, it become clear that this application captured high-resolution snaps. Even on zooming out the screenshots, they remain clear and their details clearly visible and readable.
Tons of screenshot effects
Playing around with these effects was exciting. Just before saving your screenshots, the program lets you choose the type of effect you would want to apply. The effects range from applying a fade, drop shadow, boarder, and watermark, to applying date and time and changing the snap’s name.
Cons
Too many options
You cannot deny the fact that Ashampoo Snap 8 is a great tool for capturing screen content. However, it packs a big collection of tools and options that could be overwhelming for a starter. It would take you a while before becoming familiar with all of the options.
In addition to that, you would want to turn off the application’s hints. For a start, they are useful in guiding you through. Shortly after, the hints will become obstructive.
Verdict
It is clear that Ashampoo Snap 8 is a genuine considerable option if you want to revamp your screenshot-taking experience. The program has tons of options that could take you a while to explore and use. Afterward, Snap 8 could easily be your go-to application when you need to capture screenshots.
Ashampoo Snap 8
Capturing screen shots or videos and sending them over to someone is one of the most efficient ways to teaching or guiding someone through a solution. I do it when doing remote system management with someone who doesn’t have a TeamViewer like app configured or simply when I want to teach people how to use new software.
At a Glance
At a glance, Ashampoo Snap 8 is that tiny unobtrusive tool that always gets the job done. It will snap into a the tray when not in use and you can pull it up on demand and go through a quick precapture settings panel that will give you the basics you need in place before beginning your demo.
Cons
Impressive Control Options Making Capture Simpler
If you are capturing a demonstration, you wouldn’t want to confuse viewers with constant cursor movements (if you have chose to record cursor positions) A set of hotkeys will let you handle all the scrolling, capture settings, pause, resume and stop options with a key combination. You can use the factory predetermined settings or put in your own hotkey combinations.
Powerful Edit Tools
Once you are done with your screenshot or video, you will have access to a strong editing interface that lets you tweak, enhance and even add value to the capture. You can easily annotate, add shapes, optimize colors or even add watermarks by a mere click of the button.
Sufficient Save and Share Options
The whole idea behind recording your screen is to share it with somebody. Ashampoo Snap seems to have everything covered since it not only lets you save to a variety of file types but also gives you the freedom to do direct shares via platforms like Email, Webmail and Facebook.
Cons
No Easy Way to Convert Capture Text into Editable Sections
I was hopping that if I capture on text mode, I could edit the text wherever I Please. This isn’t possible and any text mistakes must be edited from the source and you have to repeat the procedure.
Verdict
Ashampoo Snap 8 is definitely a hit. I helped me capture exemplary snapshots and record screen sessions in quality than I never thought was possible. Couple this with its editing capabilities and sharing flexibility and you get what in my mind is a must have collaboration tool.
Fantastic program! If you like to take screen shots, this is a must own program. I usually do the print screen, load-up paint, paste and edit from there. This takes care of all of it.
