Bartolomeo Di Monaco è nato a San Prisco (Caserta) il 14 gennaio 1942 e risiede a Lucca dalla nascita. Ha diretto il periodico quadrimestrale "Racconti e poesie" (1992 - 1999), la cui intera raccolta si può consultare presso la Biblioteca Statale di Lucca.
Ha scritto “Lucchesia bella e misteriosa – Storie e leggende” edito da Maria Pacini Fazzi. Alcune di esse sono state pubblicate a fascicoli da La Nazione nel 2006. Con lo stesso editore ha pubblicato la raccolta di saggi “Leggiamo insieme gli scrittori lucchesi”, promossa dal Comune di Lucca.
Con Marco Valerio Edizioni ha pubblicato sei volumi di saggi sulla letteratura italiana e straniera.
Un suo saggio sullo scrittore di Altopascio Remo Teglia è stato pubblicato su Nuovi Argomenti, n. 34 del 2006.
Nel suo sito www.bartolomeodimonaco.it è attiva la Rivista d’arte Parliamone, alla quale collaborano autori di ogni parte d'Italia.

Bartolomeo Di Monaco was born in San Prisco (Caserta) January 14, 1942 and lives in Lucca from birth. He has directed the quarterly periodical "Stories and Poems" (1992 - 1999), whose entire collection can be found at the State Library of Lucca.
He wrote "Lucca beautiful and mysterious - stories and legends" edited by Maria Pacini Fazzi. Some of them have been published in installments from The Nation in 2006. The same publisher has published a collection entitled "Let's read together the writers of Lucca", sponsored by the City of Lucca.
By Marco Valerio Edizioni he has published six volumes of essays on Italian and foreign literature.
An essay on the writer of Alton Remo tray has been published on new topics, No. 34 of 2006.
