Reviews for Kryptel
I have not tested this program, but will do it.
I am currently using Vera Crypt, which is free (Open source) and I found it very useful, since I can have an encrypted partition that I open with a strong password and then acts as a regular disk while I’m logged on to the computer . It automatically closes when I turn off the computer. Very handy for me, since I can have the partition on a USB hard drive or, for example. on my NAS.
VeraCrypt adds enhanced security to the algorithms used for system and partitions encryption making it immune to new developments in brute-force attacks.
VeraCrypt also solves many vulnerabilities and security issues found in TrueCrypt.
As an example, when the system partition is encrypted, TrueCrypt uses PBKDF2-RIPEMD160 with 1000 iterations whereas in VeraCrypt we use 327661. And for standard containers and other partitions, TrueCrypt uses at most 2000 iterations but VeraCrypt uses 655331 for RIPEMD160 and 500000 iterations for SHA-2 and Whirlpool.
Excellent software and a great giveaway. 5 stars all the way possibly, but what is the fine print on the giveaway software license ? That needs to be explained. The software does a ID fingerprint on the installed system. So I assume it can be reinstalled on the same system after a system restore ? It can’t be reinstalled on a different system using the code if the first PC breaks down for good. So saying it’s a lifetime license is misleading if it can’t be transferred to a new system. I would assume the freeware version could decrypt your files if you lost your license ? A lot of questions for someone who is protecting important documents.
Other than the uncertainty of the license here it’s highly recommend and outstanding software. One of only three file encryption software’s I would want to use with the others being Kruptos 2 Professional and Advanced Encryption Package 2017.
One feature that Kryptel lacks is to scramble/encrypt filenames . That is honestly the only thing this package lacks in my humble opinion.
Encryption is the most effective way to achieve data security. To read an encrypted file, you must have access to a secret key or password that enables you to decrypt it. Data that you don’t want anyone else to have access to needs to be protected by encryption. There are many apps available for this purpose but not all of them offer great features or work effectively.
Kryptel is a reliable and easy-to-use software, designed to help you encrypt and decrypt your files and folders, along with the ability to shred data to make it vanish forever. Files can be encrypted by a single mouse click within the Windows Explorer, and the application makes use of strong cryptographic algorithms to make sure your data is safe and secure.
Installation & Set-up
The installer size is ~17MB and the installation process is simple and straightforward, taking no time at all to finish. At the end of the installation process, you can check the box to open up the ‘Quick Start Tutorial’ link in the browser. This will let you get started with the application quickly and easily. You need to enter the license information to activate the application or you can try it out for 30 days as a trial version.
Clean and simple wizard-based UI
The interface looks clean, intuitive, and is well-organized to make it user-friendly for all types of users even the novices. It has 13 buttons divided under 3 categories, namely ‘Basic Encryption and Decryption’, ‘Backups and Filesets’, and ‘Miscellaneous Wizards’. All the buttons open up a wizard that helps you perform the task it is supposed to do. The wizards are well-thought of and are very easy to use as you can perform all the task just by following the steps.
Strong encryption capabilities
Kryptel’s default setting is for 256-bit AES encryption, but it also offers Blowfish (576-bit key), Twofish (256-bit key), Serpent (256-bit key) or Triple DES (168-bit key). Use of these secure algorithms ensures that your data is protected and secured. Moreover, this application is capable of creating secure and encrypted backups too, so they can stored on any storage without having to worry about them. You can include as many files you want in the backup, this application encrypts them all after which you can save the backup wherever you want to.
Context menu integration & shredder
This application comes with a built-in shredder, that comes with different security levels to suit different users needs. Even the lowest security level ensures that the files cannot be recovered by any of the regular recovery applications available. The highest level is the most secure obviously, but it takes a lot of time and is not really necessary for a user at home.
This application creates entries in the Windows context menu, that can help you perform task with this application quickly and with ease. The usual options are to encrypt, backup, or shred the files or folders. This can also be changed from the application settings for user preference.
Pros
Context menu integration offers one-click encryption
Encrypted backups
Data compression using ZIP or BZIP methods
Enhanced password dialog simplifies password entering and makes typing errors less likely to happen.
Support for binary keys and command line
Avoid keylogger or password sniffer by using the virtual keyboard
Cons
Visual improvements can lead to much user-friendly UI
Conclusion
Kryptel is a great tool for all types of users, who are worried about data theft and other risks. This tool comes with great wizard-based processes, guiding new users through the process of encrypting, decrypting and shredding files. The tool runs smoothly, without running into any errors or hogging a lot of system resources. The encryption, decryption, and shredding speeds are also on par with the top encryption applications available. It is definitely worth-trying.
have used this for a couple of years now. Is there similar freeware out there, yes. But this is better. Does everything they say. As professional as it gets in this category. If you are looking for quality professional encryption (+ very useful extras) software then get this.

Plagiarism, plagiarists liars and thieves suck.
As cybersecurity keeps finding its way to the category of trending topics in tech, it is high time you take it seriously. Regardless of your level of expertise, you will always value your privacy. One of the ways of dealing with unwanted access to your personal files is opting for encryption programs. In my case, I opted for the Kryptel tool based on what it promised to deliver. Find out about my experience after using it.
Kryptel at a glance
A considerable number of people have an in-depth understanding on data encryption. However, Kryptel simplifies the encryption and decryption processes. In addition to easy-to-use of your files or folders, the program boosts of its effective integration into Window’s right-click context menu. The other bunch of options and features that the program offers ensures you have more than you need regarding safeguarding your important files.
Pros
Impressive Security Options
You will quickly love the one-click encryption and decryption options that Kryptel provides. However, the program ensures you do not take chances with your folders by providing additional security level options. To start with, the program encourages users to use strong passwords, which are challenging to crack.
Additionally, users can specify the level of security when it comes to data shredding. The levels range from low to high. Low level shredding security is sufficient in preventing most undelete utilities that average users can use to try to recover your deleted files. To be certain about the safety of your deleted information, the high level will work just fine.
Runs smoothly
You must be handling sensitive information if you are seeking the help of an encrypting tool. In turn, you would not expect the tool to crash on you while encrypting your files. Thankfully, my experience in using Kryptel was pretty smooth. Apart from such a showing of stability, the program did not impact the performance of my system negatively.
Easy to follow wizard-based interface
Encrypting and decrypting files and folders using this tool is straightforward. That is the case because of its wizard-based UI that guides you through the steps. It will let you specify a container that can contain all your files before setting your preferred password. In turn, accessing your files the encrypted container becomes easy.
Con
Challenging setup
After installing Kryptel, you will have to set it up. This setup process could prove challenging to most users since it requires a lot of work that ranges from specifying containers to setting secure passwords. Getting through all these processes will also take you time.
Verdict
Kryptel offers a wide range of options for encrypting and decrypting your sensitive information. Provided you get through setting it up, you will enjoy easy single-click processes. Its multi-level security options for shredding data is a feature that you can look forward to using once you have this piece of software running on your machine.
Simple. Does the job perfectly. I’ve tried other encryption tools, but none of them have been this simple to use.
Very cool software. I used before AxCrypt and TrueCrypt, but Kryptel is different. You do not need to pack files in archives as AxCrypt need, to create nice protected container that can be easily browsed by built-in nice browser. If you use file, or show image, then it waits for you done browsing it, to clear temp files. Unlike truecrypt it’s much more comfortable. One click encryption, one click decryption, one click shredding (with support to 9 pass shred) and much more options like many file renaming, clearing temp at startup, forcing no thumbnail generation and much more. It’s extremely useful and fast software!
I highly recommend!
I have used this for a couple of years now. Is there similar freeware out there, yes. But this is better. Does everything they say. As professional as it gets in this category. If you are looking for quality professional encryption (+ very useful extras) software then get this.
I must admit, Kryptex met all my encryption needs and questions beyond my wildest dreams. You can install it on a computer, or use the portable version to encrypt your files on the go. Combine this with the rigorous and diverse cyphers and you get a true encryption tool that will keep your data safe from even advanced bruteforce hacks.
At a glance
The main interface will give you the encryption and decryption options. Additional tools include a file DOS compliant file shredder to ensure that all decrypted files are fully deleted, a ZIP or BZIP file compressor and links to explain the rather complex settings panel.
Pros
Versatile encryption tool
Kryptex is very good at what it was meant to do. It supports a couple of encryption standards like DES, AES and Blowfish and will even let you generate binary keys. This ensures that any encrypted file is as secure as long as the intruder doesn’t have the decryption key (your password)
A clever wizard to help you navigate the settings
As I mentioned before, I found the navigations rather vague. The main panel will give you General, Kryptel and Shredder options. At first, these are vague. However, Kryptex made sure to include links to help at the bottom and a wizard to guide you through
Easy encryption and decryption
If all you want is basic encryption and decryption, you needn’t worry about anything else. This will be as easy as following the onboard wizard. This is especially useful to people who care about encrypting and later accessing their files. No more, no less.
Cons
Steep settings learning curve
You might need a couple of hours or passes to really figure out the settings and optimize your encryption, shredding and compression appropriately.
Verdict
Kryptel is an amazing data security tool. It’s well thought out and has all the features you would want on an encryption-decryption tool. Moreover, the portable version is quite neat as it means that I can take my encryption, compression and shredding tool with me wherever I go.
