The Mahjong Assistant app is meant to assist You while playing the famous Chinese game of four winds - with up to 4 players and real Mahjong tiles. The app keeps track of each game, like which wind each player has, the current round and the points earned through each hand.

The various tiles are presented graphically to easily compose the sets that build up the hand. Game history is recorded to show accumulated points for each player.
Game history, hands and points are stored locally within the app and there is no on-line dependency while playing - you use it as a notebook while playing with the real tiles.

You can always go back to an earlier game and check the hands of each score, as well as having multiple games active in parallel.

To record the hand (consisting of Chow, Pong, Kong, Pair and bonus tiles) for each player, the app presents a filtered panel showing only the valid tiles that still remains.

When starting a new game, it is possible to choose if the 8 flower and season bonus tiles should be included or not. Also, the initial total number of points for each player and what wind to start in can be selected. This makes it possible to start using the app also for games already in progress.
