🖋 SEVEN KANJI, ONE FOR EACH DAY
A different brush calligraphy kanji appears each day of the week:
☀ Sunday — 鷹 TAKA (Hawk)
🌙 Monday — 鶴 TSURU (Crane)
🔥 Tuesday — 鷲 WASHI (Eagle)
💧 Wednesday — 鱗 UROKO (Scales)
🌳 Thursday — 麟 RIN (Kirin / Mythical creature)
✨ Friday — 鷺 SAGI (Heron)
🪞 Saturday — 鑑 KAN (Mirror / Reflection)
🎴 ONE STROKE EVERY HOUR
At midnight, the washi paper is blank. Each hour, a single brush stroke is added in the traditional Japanese stroke order. By the end of the day, the complete character is revealed. At midnight, a new day begins with the next kanji.
🌸 VERMILLION HIGHLIGHT
When a new stroke appears at the top of each hour, it briefly glows in vermillion — the calligrapher's seal color — then settles into deep black ink over the following minutes.
🌙 AMBIENT MODE
Optimized for always-on display. The completed kanji appears in subtle silver on a deep black ground, preserving battery while keeping the artwork beautifully visible.
🍃 NEAR-ZERO POWER
No continuous animation. The character updates only at hour boundaries, so your battery is unaffected.
