    What is the difference between this version and the one offered on May 1?

    I advice to take care with this prog. It disables systemrestore, and that would not be a bad thing as the prog itself can do more. Exept if something goes wrong. Then you have NO systemrestore to help you out.
    I had no problems installing, and it worked fine for 4 days. In my previous post I mentioned that retrieving was not working, but it does. Just go ahaid where it sends you. But when my Raxco,PerfektDisk, came in aktion: big mistake. Afther the defrag my boot time went from 50 seconds up to MORE then 5 minutes. No way fixing. Ended up with a full systembackup I had to put back.
    So please, just to be safe with this one MAKE a full systemrestore back-up first

    I got the key and downloaded right version for windows xp 280 MB but after installation it asked me to restart which i did , to my surprise it booted not to boot menu but to recovery environment when i pressed cancel (as i did not want to restore to restore point it created during installation also it disabled windows restore) it reboot again to same recovery mode then i decided to try it restore my system to restore point it created and again it disappointed as it hung for hour and a half (i did have my backup on external HDD via Paragon Backup) so i was not worried much , later i discover it actually altered my first boot sector (possibly to boot to recovery Win PE Environment) not mbr but Sector 0 or VBR also i had backup of it which was useful , i later uninstalled it (but key Deactivation failed due not network issue that’s not an issue)initially i thought it might be boot.ini 0 seconds culprit but that was not the case.I failed to realize what went wrong. Note i have installed Avast Antivirus and Comodo 4 Firewall most of such software i disabled during installation so i wondered the reason.

    [@Dianne Atkins] Seems program has a problem with SSD, as for it does not find continguent space. Do not now if it works for SSD, but on my C-drive (normalHDD) I have different compartements (C,D,E) So prog is installed in C, but the Secure Aeria is on E, in witch I had plenty of free space. So if you have a HDD defrag the extra partition to get more contingues space, OR…try to create a new empty partition. That is the best I can think of, and good luck

    I think I give up. I keep getting my original error message Create secure Area failed
    code= 0xB00F0006,Module=InstallSnapshotX,
    line=976,file=InsSnapshot.cpp.)
    Does anyone have any other suggestions??

    [@Sky1] The prog has an option to mount and dismount a snapshot, so recovering should be possible before reverting. BUT: it does not work! If I try this it sends me straight to reverting to previous state. So no recovery.. Have not tried other recovery-software to see if it is possible afther restore

    I try to install it on Winows 8.1 and get a message that RestoreIT cannot get enough contiguous space on the boot hard disk. Please run Disk defragmenter on hard drive and try again. I have an SSD as my boot drive which should no be defragmented. How do I install this crazy progam? It seems like there are some limitations or specs for this program to install/run we aren’t being told upfront about.

    Installtion without problem; but the system reserved partition of 100MB which is normally hidden is now visible. I had to manually make it invisible. I do not understand why this automation.

    Not mutch, RestoreIt will undo all changes. Basic RestoreIt should NOT be used on a normal computer. It might be used on a childs computer or a internet cafe computer. But a normal computer where you do work, and need information to stay. RestoreIt is just in the way, and will mess things up.

    I have a question before I install this, please. Since logically reverting back to an earlier state to get rid of some problem, would also mean that the “good” stuff which had been installed or saved inbetween would also disappear, is there a way to recover them afterwards? Like recovering the saved data (web pages, photos, etc.) through a recovery software, etc.? And what can be done to avoid losing installed (licensed, GOTD or bought and paid for) programs? Thank you for any clarification & advice.

    I posted about installation problem earlier but i found it to be a compatibility problem with another program – uninstalled it and then Farstone installed smoothly . So – find out yours and it probably will be okej .

    Looks like this is a buggy program, based on the comments below.

    My advice to anyone having issues, make sure you are downloading the right version for your computer. For example, if you have Win7 then download the Win7 version. If you have WinXP, download the WinXP version. There are two separate files for Windows 7/8/8.1 and Windows XP/Vista users.

    It is ok when working, but if memory serves right, It auto protects ALL harddrives against changes. I think it was unchangeable, not 100% on that.

    This software basic do the same thing but is safer and lesser hassel to use.

    I began with a custom install, noticing it zoomed past disengaging windows Restore so quickly I couldn’t uncheck the box, much less remember the other box on that page.

    So now I’ve done some research and want to remove it from my machine (Vista). As mentioned, I did the custom install but I have not yet rebooted so there’s nothing in the Control Panel to uninstall.

    Do I really have to reboot and let it finish before uninstalling?

    Thanks.

    I do not see any comment if this programme is any good or not? I am not that savvy in hi-tech stuff, but I will not use such awful language. Ashraf – you call yourself the boss, why are you allowing this kind of comments with bad words?
    Please would someone just say if this is a good programme or not before the time runs out, without any naughty words lol. I am using Win 7 pro 64 and my machine runs very well but I do not want a programme that might use up to much of the RAM. Thank you.

    Great program by the way, allows me to defrag my system, though defragging is slower then before.
