Just updated this deal with a better price and 3-PC license — enjoy!

Taking about, the lifetime license of Windows XP is also right. Yet, it’s a product obsolete. Facing the theoretical side of a lifetime license without free major upgrade, I’m effectively allowed the liberty of a personal interpretation. But the offer price for 1 PC and not for 3 PCs licence, was not a personnal information.

[@Nobug] The lifetime license never ends — you just won’t get free upgrades to the latest version, you can still using the version you have.

[@PhilK] Thanks for the feedback :-) FWIW, I think TuneUp Utilities is past its primer — way too overpriced when considering the alternatives available.

[@Phil K] Later found that “Folder Marker Free” changes icons in Program Files and the Windows folders so this is now utterly worthless

    Way overpriced at this “reduced”
I had 2010, and they don’t bother updating the old stuff to work on Windows 8 never mind 8.1.
    Be warned

The current price is $49.95 (€39.95) and for 3 PCs.
The current price for an upgrade is $29.95 (€24.95) and for 3 PCs .
No free upgrade, so the lifetime licence is ending with the upcoming 2015 upgrade.

[@MustINameMyself] Go to http://steganos.com to find the deal

[@ParolinM] Hmmm? Some of them are one year licenses, yes.

By the way, Ashraf, I forgot to mention that I tried the link prior to reading your reply, with Opera, Internet Explorerer, firefox and also via my mac (Safari) and Android, not to mention my iPhone. So, I’m quite sure it has to do with my security settings blocking whichever site it’s bounced off of prior to redirecting. :/ I would hate to tear apart years of fine-tuning my security settings if there was a more direct route where I could purchase the software and give you credit. I don’t wish to short change your affiliation. Any help would be warmly welcome, friend. Thank you again!

    Hi Ashraf,

When I said I couldn’t get the link to work, I meant that when I click on the provided link, it opens to a blank page. Usually it has to do with the fact that it’s redirecting through a network which my network has disallowed. Is there any way to get a direct link rather than the redirect. If you’d like to email it, please do. I will gladly be sure to add you as referral so you still get credit for nabbing the sale.

[@rod garnett] Firstly, from our end, we don’t offer refunds or exchanges due to the digital nature of the goods — as the offer clearly states. Secondly, you bought it directly from Steganos — contact them for whatever issues you are having, they might refund you.

Hello My reference for purchase is 460049315. It was to be a package of 5 different programs. the tune up utility is not as current as the one I already have. I also have a one year free subscription for the virus program and the Nero BackItUp 2014 (#300610701) 1 Unit(s) will not install. Could I please have a refund or just give me a link for a VPN and call it even. I don’t want to get in touch with pay pal and ask for a refund at this time. Lets see if we can make this work.

[@Wes] Hello, what do you mean you can’t get the link to work? If you provide me with more details, I’ll try to help. You can also try it in a different browser.

[@Phil K] Thanks! I understand your point. Best of luck in finding what you need, and if you find it let us know — we may review it on dotTech.

[@Ashraf] [@Ashraf] Vaild, of course Ashraf – but it had been working fine BEFORE8.1 (and it was) what was done to make it NOT work now ? I just thought they may know. they didn’t seem to make an effort, and i wondered if it also may apply to later TU – to just stop working so completely. Didn’t give confidence for later versions. As for icons, found loads – just none changed the Windows folder icon or any in Program files.
Doing a great job, mate by the way !

    Hi there,

Thank you for posting this great info. I cannot, however, get this link to work and was wondering if anyone can offer a direct link. I’ll happily name this site as the referral by email is there is no way to do so in the purchase area. I’d be most grateful. Thank you.

[@Phil K] By the way, if all you want to do is change icons, I’m sure there are some freewares out there you can use to do that instead of having to buy TuneUp Utilities. I can’t think of any off the top of my head but I’m sure they are out there.

[@Phil K] Is it really fair, though, to ask a company to support a program to a version of Windows released after the program has been released? If the company offered free lifetime updates, sure, but TuneUp offers free minor updates for their products — and they stopped updating v2010 and moved onto v2011 (and so on) long before Windows 8.1 is out.

I’m not defending TuneUp. I’m just saying, there are two sides to a story.

I WOULD have bought this, but I had TuneUp 2010 and it worked fine until Windows 8.1 – then it stopped working. Tuneup weren’t interested in helping, or releasing a fix. Just kept on saying do what I was doing anyway (without any success) and pushing this. I tried this, and it’s hitty missy. on Win 8.1 64bit. Sometimes it works sometimes it crashes. Not worth the risk. The ONLY reason I’d want this is it changes icons in Program Files, and the Windows Folder. The ONLY reason
