Mirror Mirror is a fun app that says the most unexpected things. You ask it a question and Mirra talks back! Ask Mirra to tell a joke or who the fairest of them all is and you’ll be delightfully entertained. Ask yes/no types of questions and Mirra will be sure to let you know! If you're unsure of what to say, say something nonsensical and Mirra will make suggestions.

Mirra uses voice recognition and Text-To-Speech (TTS) technology to communicate. You will be prompted to install a basic voice from Android Market if your phone does not have one. More natural sounding voices are available from IVONA and SVOX. IVONA currently offers free Beta voices.

If your phone does not have a voice or you wish to install a more natural sounding voice, it's best to do so while not running Mirror Mirror. The basic Android voice installer and voice data are available for free at http://bit.ly/HPHMIv . It requires installing two apps: SyntheticSpeech Data Installer and a Synthetic Voice in one of several languages: English (US & UK), French, German, Italian, and Spanish. Mirror Mirror currently only understands and speaks English, but hey, try another language for fun to see just how well Mirra does.

The more natural sounding IVONA speech engine and voices are available at http://bit.ly/Hzk16U . Install IVONA Text-to-Speech HQ first. Then install an IVONA voice in the language and gender of your choice.

Natural sound voices are also available from SVOX at http://bit.ly/IpEvk3 . Install the Classic Text To Speech Engine. Then install a SVOX voice in the language and gender of your choice.

Mirror Mirror accesses your Contact and Account data ONLY to get your first name so that it can address you by your first name whenever Mirra greets you. You can override the name Mirra calls you in the Mirror Mirror Menu: Preferences->User Experience. You can also enter a Zip Code to get weather forecasts for that area. Mirror Mirror respects your privacy and does not disseminate any personal information.
