Whenever I try to “register”, using the registration key I was given by S.O.S., upon reaching the point where the site asks for my name, email addy, and phone number, no matter what format i use, no matter which phone number I use I consistently recieve an “Invalid phone number” error message! So I can’t register the product… Someone want to explain this to me, and maybe tell me WTF is going on?

This looks SOOOO much like 360 Total security that I had to do a double take to make sure I was looking at todays offer and not 360 Total Security.

Ironically, my Malwarebytes flagged Akick.com as a malicious site and blocked access to it. Maybe the folks over at Malwarebytes are so greedy that they’ve blacklisted all of their competitors. LOL.

The “English” language which has been used to describe this product is so laughingly inadequate, that one has to wonder whether the publisher’s grasp on security issues is on par with his language skills. Frankly, this is frightening. It’s not even possible to be sure that the writer knows what he’s talking about. If you want to convince me you’re a good doctor, not a quack, you’d better explain me my illness in a way that makes sense.

OK, I just had a glimpse at their website : it’s a train wreck. The same non-existent “English” is used there. Heavy on marketing buzzwords and atrocious English, but almost empty on real technical content. It’s an Indian company barely two-years old (at least that’s what they say), and they already “sell” a bewildering array of software — anti-virus being only one of them.

Stay well clear of such fly-by-night operations. Security is a serious business. You might have a go at “Ackick Watermark Creator” or “Akick Document Converter” if you really must (trial version only, of course, and buckle up on your real anti-virus). If they fail miserably, you will only have lost some precious hours of your life.

But anti-virus ? By Ackick Ltd., Bengalore ? Come on… Seriously, go and have a look at their site, just for laughs. There are moving parts all over the place, and stock photos of professional types looking like thay have just made their first million dollars. This could be a parody made up by a comedian. You can almost hear the jokes.

Malwarebytes blocks the Akick site as being malicious. Not an auspicious beginning for anyone wanting to try the program from this offer.
