This Ashampoo Backup Pro giveaway is version 17.11. Ashampoo Backup Pro 25 is already out! So sharewareonsale.com is giving you a really old version…

    It’s still excellent software though.

Luis, this giveaway is not that old. Version 17.11 was updated on 12/6/2023. The version that was released after 17 was 25. There was no version 18, 19, 20, 21, etc. It went straight from 17 to 25. Please don’t spread misinformation. And as you said it’s excellent software.

[ @Ashraf] Geez ok enough to install. Takes bit time to make first ‘Plan’. Then my 2tb ssd took from 10:31am to 4:42pm to finish onto a regular HD. Macrium Reflect free took hour and I thought that was long.
Image the Samsung Petabyte SSD in works as first kind.

I have purchased the latest version when they had a very good deal on it. So it can’t be a slow demo/trial.
Appears to be well designed with many options, but it is terribly slow. Over 2 hours on drives that don’t have much on them.
Macrium does them in 5 to 10 minutes. I have not tried to restore a drive.
If you prefer a low price or a trial version then it may be right you, but I’d rather pay for something that I know does the job and does it quickly.

[ @Ashraf] The download link only downloads an unusable “Unconfirmed” file 104,476kb

Great backup tool. BUT why does the app continually try to access the internet? I understand license verification but every time the Windows OS launches and then several times even when the app is not open/running? Very suspicious.
