Peter BlaiseGuest.
So weird — CamBoard Explorer does not show MY computer, and I cannot imagine it’s useful use in any educational class VERSUS having ANY real computer in hand for students to tear apart and play with.Illustrations such as presented by CamBoard Explorer, especially inaccurate illustrations such as presented by CamBoard Explorer, are the bane of people who are trying to actually figure things out IN THE REAL WORLD, such as folks who try to follow owner’s operations instruction manuals that are equally inaccurate and inappropriate, leaving those folks worse than when they started, instead, leaving them frustrated, angry, dismissive and destructive of their dead equipment — just toss it.
Oh that’s the best thing to do with this program — just toss it.
.Ritchi FreudenkinderGuestI’m very sorry, however, I cannot give more than one star. The use of mouse and arrows is as difficult as in a CAD-Program, but the presented information is for an 8 years old child. Moving the mouse with left click makes the picture wild dancing, it’s hard to get a proper picture position with the mouse action. As already mentioned, you will not get the information of the part where you will make a mouse click, you’ve to click wild around in the window and sometimes you will get an information of a computer part, which is far away from the click position. And the given information are very poor.
EdGuestThe program doesn’t have an uninstaller, nor an installer (you have to manually unzip the ‘Hub’ files and install from setup.exe which is not like the other excellent SHAREWAREonSALE hub installer! It doesn’t create a start menu entry. Only way to find it/remove it, is to use Windows explorer and find (computer explorer) directory in program files (x86). It’s not very current as it shows IDE drives and disk controller, none of which are present in current PC’s. Not too useful as explanations are too technical for youngsters (what is ‘SOUTH Bridge’ anyways?)
Deleted after first run.
HarFanGGuestThanks SoS.
But as other people already said it, this can be called “crap”.
It looks like a software made by a kid.Installed, runned once, thought it’s useless, and then uninstalled.
NelsonGuestHi there. I am able to see the information about the keyboard, the mouse, the monitor and the mouse pad. I try to go into the computer section and no information pops up. The interface is rather awkward and moving around is accomplished only by the arrows on the control bar. I was hoping to teach my sons about the inner workings of a computer. I am not able to do so at this time. I will try to play with it some more, but I cannot currently give this one a good rating.
TobiassonGuestDoes it really only work in crappy old IE ?
What about Opera, Safari, FireFox, Chrome that normal people use
