Thans so much – good application. :)
Trend Micro regards the software as a virus.
This has a harsh re-install policy. I’ve contacted the company and there are re-install restrictions.
“The professional version can only be activated on your computer, it can be only activated for two times.”
2 times is way too low for me. To be fair they followed up with another email
“But if you want to reinstall the program on your new computer, just send us an email, we will help you to reset the license code.”
I don’t like licenses that work like that as I re-install all the time. Shame, it looks good.

I downloaded and installed: the “do your recovery pro” via Shareware on sale. Got the key in email:
HPWEH-275NM-1JWW7-IN944-427XW
In my case.I can’t see how or where to get the key into the trial program to “register” it!
A pointer would be helpful.
BTW my copy doesnt say trial whe run. was it perhaps pre rgistered??

Theres a button in the top right corner that looks like 3 horizontal lines (mouse over it pops up a “more” box). Click it and select Activate. Enter the number in there.

IDid this. Activate was not one of the choices. Only About, check for updates, contact us, users guide, etc Neither check for updates nor about yielded anything useful
That’s odd. It only disappears if its activated.
Quick Review:
Been running tests on this all day. As far as I am concerned OnTrack EasyRecovery is the best recovery software out there from all my previous tests with various products on memory cards. Its only weakness is that its MOV recovery can be pretty poor compared with others. It also has a pricey per year licence model making this quick expensive in the long run.Do Your Data Recovery Pro performs incredibly well. It managed to keep up with Ontrack in most areas (JPG and other camera formats such as CR2) and even recovered a few formats Ontrack didn’t (AMR files). As mush as I don’t particularly like the license activations model, this is a very good buy at $19.
A small thing I noticed though was its results folder layout looks familiar which makes me think this may be a rebadge of another product (maybe Active@, I cant remember off hand) but it could be a coincidence.

Another bit of information that may help people decide whether to purchase the $19 is its upgrades. I asked the company if the free updates included minor or major revisions. For example 4.0 to 5.0 or only covers minor updates such as 4.0 to 4.5. The reason I asked is because they have released versions 2.0 all the way up to 4.0 in a space of 12 months. The good news is it does cover major updates.
After purchase of our product, you can get free updates on both minor update and major update, (for instance, 4.0 to 4.5, 4.0 to 5.0 etc)
That makes this $19 price tag a bargain. Thank Ashraf
[@private] Welcome. For future reference, if we say “upgrades” that means free updates to future versions. “Lifetime free upgrades” means free updates for ALL future versions. We base our titles / update policy info on what the dev tells us.
