    just downloaded the installer from ascomps website and although they claims compatibility with both 32bit and 64bit windows the installer contains a 32bit main executable (which is OK under both editions of windows) and an unlicensed 64bit FFMPEG.EXE which limits the installation to only 64bit systems and is technically illegal to redistribute and sell due to non-compliance with the GPLv3 license FFMPEG.EXE was built with… the free registration the program offers for non-commercial use does not work on the email addresses I used that forward to one of my current email providers does not arrive whilst a gmail email to same forwarded email address works fine so maybe the sent email is technically spam-like and blocked by some email providers. Cannot even try out the program without successful registration!

    [@TK] managed to find an email that worked it has an option on set effects to “Stretch to fit screen” the only problem with that option is it distorts the image to fill the chosen aspect ratio. It needs an option to “Zoom to fit screen” that would zoom in OR out to fit ONE dimension of the output frame size but maintain image aspect ratio and not distort the image. By default it does Zoom out to fit an image into the frame but does not Zoom IN to fit a smaller image to the frame.

    I think I’ve discovered what’s wrong/spammy about the ascomp registration emails they do not support DKIM signature on their emails so they are not forwarded OR some providers refuse to deliver them.

    the email header:

    dkim=none (message not signed);

    signals the problem with ascomps domain configuration.
