GuestBonjour,
il y a un problème avec votre File Sharing Pro qui est détecté comme malware par Avast et Surfshark Antivirus.
Que dites vous à ça ?

GuestBe VERY CAREFUL WITH THIS PROGRAM! It is NOT a hardened webs server, it is not SSL/TLS capable ALL data is transferred as plain text completely unencrypted and visible by any man in the middle packet sniffing on either end of the connection. If you put this on the internet using your home broadband connection you will be opening yourself up to malicious attacks once the open port is discovered and it will be discovered as there is a near continuous background of malicious port scanning and bot intrusion attempts. Ashrafs glowing review is a sham he is ignoring every fact about this program and extolling the fact that you own the data store as some sort of security completely ignoring the lack of comprehensive security for the connections to the server themselves exposing your data and login credentials to anyone able to view the traffic e.g. if you access your files at home from a open access city Wi-Fi or internet cafe then others on the same cell could sniff all your packets with impunity! IT IS NOT SECURE AND NOT A SECURE PORTAL Ashraf you should be ashamed of yourself for the lies you have put in your review!

Guestfrom pcwinsofts requirements page:
“File Sharing Pro – PC Windows
Intel 1.3GHz
120MB HD
256MB RAM
Windows Vista, 7, 8, 8.1, and 10 32 and 64-bits
Minimum screen resolution of 800×600”But just as this sites requirements are often wrong or incomplete the same is true for PCWinsoft website details as it’s a mixture of wordpress and .asp pages they’ve made a right mess of it e.g. on the download tab for this product it states:
“Compatible with the operating systems
Windows 8, 8.1, 10, and 11. 32 and 64 bits.”And the program has not been touched since 2021 by any developer.

Note that any and all software that creates open communication onto the internet will be flagged as malware. As it creates a potential port for intrusion, it is automatically suspect. In this case, as the software does not use even the ordinary SSL or TLS security and encryption, it’s particularly open to abuse. I’d say if you have a real use for this, you only run it on demand, as briefly as possible to accomplish your transfers. Yes, open ports WILL BE DISCOVERED AND SHARED ON THE BOTNETS and will be pummeled with automated login attempts from all over the world… your PC will be flagged as a target.
I also have to agree, the posted glowing product description is so incredibly over the top and misleading about security that it really screams SCAMMMMMMM.

GuestIf I remember rightly this program is also NOT plug and play in that it does NOT automatically arrange the necessary port forwarding for the vast majority of us behind a NAT router, that will have to be done MANUALLY via a UPNP utility or via the routers admin pages.. which is a good thing as you really don’t want this single threaded web-server exposed to the public internet. Personally if I wanted to access my files while away from home I’d put a copy of them on the machine I am taking away from home… it saves time and bandwidth and security concerns and if they were private and I don’t want them to be known if my device was stolen I’d make sure they were securely encrypted at all times by something like Vera-crypt that can access them with the passphrase but always leaves the data encrypted.
It appears this was “designed” back in the day when we used discrete modems even USB ADSL Modems that gave the host windows PC a public IP number so there was no need for port forwarding and windows often exposed its soft underbelly to the internet for anyone to access. There was no concept of security back then just as there is no concept of modern security in this program.
NOTE the web-server is NOT a service like a pro web-server but a normal user desktop program so if your computer is attacked and probed for buffer over-runs and resource depletion attacks and it causes the machine to reboot the web-server will NOT restart by itself as the user account has to be logged back in and the program re-started.TK
GuestTo prove my point about the COMPLETE LACK OF SECURITY in the design ethos of this program IF you select start with windows and stealth mode and the program asks you for your windows login password… you’d think that would be something to store in a secure manner? What no plain text in the registry for any malware to see!
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\PCWinSoft\File Sharing Pro\General\global\password
Yup in plain text, not even obfuscating the string name… setting to “password” sorry I have to say it these guys are MORONS!
Suffice to say I knew they were morons anyway so never entered my true password for my windows account but a unique string I knew I could search the registry for and find if they were completely incompetent… and they were it was easy to find.STUART
Guest[ @Ashraf] Installed it, run it, it said I have to configure it, Windows 11 did that for me, when it blocked it, asked me if it was okay, and then let it through…but I tried “seeing it” using another computer on the same network, and it couldn’t.
I clicked on the provided help, which brought up a 404 not found dead link error LOL.
