    The programmers of Genie should work on their user interface programming skills in order

    to make it easy for a user to register a program, and not to cause unnecessary aggravation. Period.

    [@consuella] I agree, especially for a program aimed at novices.

    I have this installed from an earlier giveaway and find that it doesn’t get in my way. Very easy to get a file back when needed, if you delete one or accidentally save some changes you decided not to keep, or have a drive failure. Even if you can’t run Windows or Timeline, your files are still there. I like the way it saves multiple versions of files so you can step back in time through different changes. This doesn’t replace my image/partition backup software (Macrium Reflect) but compliments it nicely! I can run Reflect weekly, saving files to an external drive (not connected to power or PC exceot during backups) and still rely on Timeline to protect any files created or changed between Reflect backups.

    Same issue even with the trial version from Genie9’s website.

    Does Genie Timeline alter the Win10 Restore Point function? I used one of these programs in the past which overrode the System Restore function, and it was not available when I needed it. Tnx
