Managed to download and get registraton key. Everything in German so was a problem for me. I’ve launched the programmes and managed to license it. Problem is the programme is in German and there does not appear to be anywhere to change the language.

Google translate is your friend and after you type your email address you cannot hit the button to request a code, you must just use the ENTER key on your keyboard. Got mine and registered OK. Only real problem I’ve had with O&O in the past is that it installs a bunch of background processes software and sometimes interferes with other programs.

Downloaded O&O backup software then registered in their page. Two hours later I’m still waiting for an e-mail with my software code. Are they still sending codes or am I too late?

Tried, entered my email, never gave me a second web page. Waited over an hour, still nothing. Hmm, maybe it’s one per person per IP address. Tried with VPN and gave me the second page right away. Got their first email right away, clicked on it (to verify?), now I wait again. I kind of know their convoluted verification process from installing ver. 14, so still I wait.
It’s good software but has a horrible problem when booting from a CD. The text is so big it fills the screen so you can’t scroll down and click on OK (accept the terms). Their support knows this so I was hoping they fixed the problem.
Tried to register, both “click” and push “Enter” way, but registration e-mail not yet arrived.
[@hupzona] The first step confirmation e-mail arrived in 30 min, then 5 minutes the final one with code.

I read the write up for this software. It sounds like it pretty well does what both Macrium Reflect and MiniTools ShadowMaker do. The important thing is to be able to access the program before Windows starts since Windows may fail to start. Because Windows’ system restore may not work (I find that happens a lot), you need a good backup program that will enable you to access the program even if Windows doesn’t respond.

Up on downloading and running this program for the very first time, I encountered a question asking me did I want to check for any new updates? Am I to say yes for this one time only or say no as I read were there will be no updates for the free version. Just wasn’t sure what to do upon the first download and runThanks
