Registration is a complete shambles.

One or two weeks ago, I tried to get a code, using the same way as the procedure as for this freebie. Tried many times but I am still waiting. Programme uninstalled. I was most certainly not alone.

So, trying this one, and guess what? Yes, no email from FRANZIS; but they had the cheek to say that I was already registered and email on it’s way. I’ve asked and been told twice. We shall see!

A pity and all rather unnecessary. I cannot give an evaluation because I cannot use the darn offer.

First of all, the registration process is much improved over the old style. One button to request, then paste the info when asked. Done in a matter of seconds.

Now to the software, its a typical Franzis program: multiple filter templates, with enough fine tuning to satisfy most any photographer. Once you get used to their programs’ processes, its fairly easy to manipulate most any image. I find it most helpful on landscape images, though with Projects 3 portraits get better treatment than earlier versions did.

Except for scaling-to-size (for which I use Photo Design, for me the Franzis suites have replaced Photoshop.

What a waste. All you get is a mail box full of spam!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I have tried several times now to download one of their programs, NEVER receive the required information for registering! JUST SPAM!

Have to comment due to the negative ones here.
Downloaded no hassles, already registered with them because they have many interesting photo/graphic related software. I now have ten different software from Franzis, I would say half of them are great the rest I use but maybe mostly for fun (not business).
If you are already registered with them then registering their software is easy, sign in get your reg info in your email, install.
In my opinion Franzis is one of the most generous professional software companies out there, yes I know these giveaways are marketing.
Is the software they give away an older version? Yes. Is their older versions better than the freeware that just came out? Yes.
I have never received any spam from them either, which is really actually surprising because I expected it.
Great company never had a problem with them.
If you are having a problem registering just read the email they send you. Seriously just actually read it, I received one too so I know what it says, just follow directions, it’s not that hard. OR maybe I’m just lucky.

These are the directions: “At the registration page, submit your email address and click “SEND”. (At the next page, you will be asked to fill out a short form, but that is optional.) You will now be sent an email with a confirmation link in it — click that click to confirm your email address. Once you confirm your email address, you will be sent another email that contains your user ID and registration code. ”

Yeah, that never happened…. and I did it TWICE!

It did get everything as promised. As I also have a previous give-away from Franzis, my e-mail address was recognised and once I entered my password, all went well. However at end of the install I (twice) got a message that it was unable to execute file C:\Program Files\franzis\Photo projects 3 elements.exe Createprocess failed; Code 14001 and that the application failed because its side-by-side configuration is incorrect”.
What now?

I downloaded this and requested a registration code but none came. The I tried to request another registration email and it said I was registered even though I didn’t get an email from them. Then when I clicked on forgot password it sent another email that I didn’t get.
What is up with this?
