FJMCGuestOlá… Bom dia. Era este o programa que eu andava à procura… Muito Obrigado
Mr.DaveGuestI just tried out the program by copying and pasting the review from Malik on the main SOS page for this Giveaway. Easy to use, fast (it’s not a long bunch of test). Aside from the usual suspects like “a”, “the”, “and”, etc., other heavily used words were “can”, “text”, “unique” and “you”. For this kind of text, I don’t see the usefulness in saying how many times each line was used (I think it was 23 empty lines, everything else once) but in programming it could be quite helpful to see if anything was repeated or not. Would be nice to get a count of lines that start with, or contain, a search phrase. I have no idea what the screen is for that lets you “Edit word letters”. I tried changing “p” to “%” but nothing happened whether the box was checked or not. The help function takes you to a web page that helps you install, but says nothing about how to use.
I also tried a file with about 33,000 characters. When I hit “Analyze” button, the results popped up instantly. 6107 total words, 1245 unique words.
Unfortunately, the list of words is shown in alphabetical order, with no way to sort by frequency. I’d like to know what words are over-used without scanning through 1245 rows on a small screen. But at least I can export the results and re-sort in Libre Office. That was painless. Text is a manual for a chainsaw. Again, analysis came up immediately. Most-used words were:
WORD COUNT Percent
the 423 6.93
chain 210 3.44
and 148 2.42
saw 135 2.21
of 113 1.85
to 107 1.75
or 98 1.6
a 90 1.47
in 85 1.39
bar 75 1.23
is 72 1.18
use 69 1.13
power 64 1.05I expected “the” but it’s odd to see “and”, “a”, “or”, “is” farther down the list! Very different style of writing.
