Everything is also full match, but it can only hit filename, not the content. (I know you said new version can, it is also offine technology and slow, only support little formats)

Substring match is very important in some languages like Japanese.

Sorry. It must be a bug. The uninstall runs well on our test machines. We use NSIS to build up setup file, so we wrongly suppose it works in all platforms. Could you please tell us more about your enviroment?

In fact, the packed and uninstall.exe is causes by NISI, the famous packing sofrware.

We have reports false positive on all the virus sites, hope they fix them soon.

We support four languages and cross platforms. It costed long time to develop it, it is unworthy to insert trajon in it to break our reputation.

“Mistype, sorry. You can have a try market to hit Euromarketing, substring in the moddle.”

I just tried that in File Locator. It also works.

“Indeed, FileLocator can hit but it is offline search tool so very slow.”

What ? Do you mean that your program searches online ?

If in fact this app requires internet access to do its thing, that factor alone would disqualify it for me. I would only be interested in a local-use search tool, with extra points awarded for a fully portable version. My memory for such things extends back to the DOS days, and an excellent text searcher that was included in version 4.5 of the Norton Utilities. It could range across the files on an entire hard drive in searching, but of course it could never peer inside today’s common file formats like PDF. I’d very much like to find one with those capabilities for today, and which works swiftly . . . so I will take a look at File Locator and Everything. Any other text search program suggestions ?

I mean File Locator does not prescan, something like indexing. It scans only when search begins, that is slow for folder with lots of documents.

TextSeek can search for both situation.

Thanks for your suggestion. We will add portable version ready, but network verification is necessary otherwise we can not check whether the users have the right to access our service. We need money to keep on improving it.

Some heavy-document writers need this software much since the search for content happens every day and file locator is slow. You cannot wait 20 min to get results, Textseek can give it within seconds.

FileSeek has same problem as file locator, no prescan to accelerate the searching.
