Hi, if you want to find/search/view/edit ALL your Files and Folders on your PC at once and extremely fast – there is free and small Program called ‘Everything.exe’, you can find it here:

Using this for 6 years. You will like it.

I mean File Locator does not prescan, something like indexing. It scans only when search begins, that is slow for folder with lots of documents.

TextSeek can search for both situation.

File Locator does have an indexing option. It’s only in the paid-for version, though :

(Agent Ransack is just the original name of File Locator Lite (free). It was changed for marketing reasons.)

That’s wrong. File Locator has an indexing option in the Pro version.

Also, there are no actual speed comparisons on your site. You just say you are faster and competitor x is slow. That’s not serious.

    Thanks, Clairvaux.

Indexing is not the technology we used to accelerate the searching. If indexed, that is not full-text matching.
You can have a try the indexing feature in the File Locator, some words would not be hit then, just as DocFetcher.

This version for TextSeek is not mature yet, and this time we have received many emails to report bugs. We will fix those bugs soon and give out new version soon. Maybe we will do the promotion here again.

Thanks for all your advices and suggestions, which made our software better and more robust.

Hi, please have a look at the new 2.5.1853 release.
    https://www.textseek.net/en/download.htm

We have fixed many bugs in this version ( including uninstall bug, small font-size search result for 4k screen , crash or interrupt in indexing).

There are still some drawbacks, and we will keep improving it.
