AeroAdmin – EASY remote desktop software!
AeroAdmin requires no installation, registration and configuration. Its small in size (~2 Mb) and can be started up in less than a minute.
It’s perfect for times when you need to connect to a remote PC as soon as possible for either a full on remote control session or a simple file transfer.
Key Features
- Works without registration, installation and configuration
- Connects computers behind NAT
- Branding + access rights preconfiguration
- Small in size, portable
- Built-in ticket sending system for helpdesk
- Secure File Transfer
- Unattended access
- Remote user logoff, reboot (including in safe mode)
- Total AES + RSA encryption

How It Works?
AeroAdmin shows an ID number every time it’s opened. This number is what needs to be shared for someone else to connect to the computer. This number is static and bound to computer hardware, meaning it doesn’t change over time. You can also use your IP address instead of the ID.
The admin computer needs to enter the client ID to make a connection. When the admin tries to make a connection for the first time, the remote client needs to enable access rights, such as screen viewing, keyboard and mouse control, file transfer, and clipboard syncing. The client can give or revoke any of these rights. Session will start immediately after client accepted the connection.
AeroAdmin offers a very flexible 3-factor authentication system. In addition to manual accept of incoming connections remote admin can be authenticated by hardware ID or by password, or in a combined mode what adds extra security.
Ticket Sending System
AeroAdmin provides built-in option for instant sending of help requests to admin email. The messages are sent in a form of tickets containing all necessary data for instant connection. In fact, remote client can send help request to admin in a couple of clicks.
Usage and benefits
- Perfect for spontaneous and regular tech support
- Can be used for remote monitoring and parental control
- Perfect for remote office

Reviews for AeroAdmin PRO
From its name, it may not be apparent that AeroAdmin PRO is a remote desktop access software package. However, when you interact with it for the first time, that realization sinks in very quickly. There you go, this software provides an alternative to the veteran remote desktop access tools that you are using or might have used in the past.
Overview
There are a few things that will stand out about AeroAdmin PRO right off the bat. One of the things is that its installation file, which will run on all Windows platforms apart from Vista, is notably small. The other thing is that the program does not require any installation; you only need to run it and you will be good to go.
Connecting to a client computer is a breeze. Just input its ID and connect. The step will initiate a pop up on the client side with an incoming connection request. In the request, the client can opt to reject or go ahead to give control, which involves viewing the screen, mouse and keyboard control, access to files, and clipboard synchronization.
Pros
Short Startup Time
Whenever you run AeroAdmin PRO, it takes a very short time to open its window. As such, it can easily come in handy when you want to remotely attend to a problem and do not have the time that other bulky applications require to start up.
Remote Access Really Works
In addition to its fast launching, the program also connects to remote clients fast with no problems. If the client gives access to all the requests upon connection request prompt, the admin will definitely be in control of what the client computer does.
The admin could also lock and unlock the client’s screen, or shutdown or restart the client machine.
Cons
Less Intuitive Interface
In the early stages of using AeroAdmin PRO, I quickly noted that the interface was less user-friendly. Although the icons may be clear to some users regarding what they do, hovering above them did not reveal additional information as reminiscent of how other applications work.
You will further feel the less intuitive UI of this application when using the File Transfer feature. After you have identified and initiated the transfer process, the program does not show any progress to let you know how the process is executing. Dragging and dropping a file from one computer to the other remotely also remains unresponsive.
Less Developed File Transfer Feature
To start with, the file transfer feature in this program is unresponsive and could easily pile up your frustration when using it for the first time. When you want to transfer a file from one computer to the other, you will not get the appropriate prompts to let you know what is happened. The complete downfall of this feature, however, is that it did not work!
High Resource Usage
As AeroAdmin PRO was running, I checked the resource usage on my machine. In doing so, I noted that it was among the top processes in terms of using a large percentage of memory and processor. The usage could increase as you add more clients for remote monitoring.
Verdict
AeroAdmin PRO provides an alternative to the rather bulky remote desktop access programs out there. The main thing that this program lacks is a good user experience. Otherwise, most of its features work just as intended.

If we get it free (here), and later wish to connect to someone’s PC
Do they have to purchase a copy ?
Remote access is always a necessity to any technician or just somebody with multiple PCs that he or she would want to access over a network. The problem is most of the reliable remote access programs are either too costly or too bulky. AeroAdmin proves to be the exact opposite of this, at least at a glance.
At a Glance
AeroAdmin gives you all the features you will need to man a remote helpdesk and handle all remote system administration to unattended or attended computers from a central machine that isn’t necessarily on the same LAN.
Pros
Strong Built-in Security
This is the biggest worry to anyone connecting to a remote computer via the internet. While not every connection will be hackproof, the better the protection the better. If found AeroAdmin’s data encryption (AES+RSA) quite impressive on paper and actual machine and files access via a legitimate account is the only practical way to access the file.
The security extends from mere connection to secured file transfer which means that you can always shuttle crucial files between your laptop and a secure PC or server hence reducing the chances of important data falling into the wrong hands.
Clever Application Modularity
The modularity, in this case, creates practical use cases that will suit a system admin, a regular user and employees trying to telecommute.
The admin can manage and service computers remotely using a simple and user friendly connection to any PC on the internet. The employer can not only set online meetings and webinars but also avail corporate data from a central server and let users work with the data on the server by denying them copy and new file creation rights.
A Notable Remote Monitoring Feature
The remote modelling feature widens the scope. It’s simple. It let me see whatever was going on the remote computers I was connected to. This can come in handy when doing remote helpdesk or admin tasks or simply when monitoring employee/children activity on a PC. Quit neat and convenient.
Cons
No Chat
While AeroAdmin is so great at sharing screens and giving you remote access, I found the fact that I don’t get even the simplest of the chat features a little bit annoying. You can improvise if you must communicate but it would be quite convenient if the app had an inbuilt chat.
Verdict
AeroAdmin is absolutely worth it. It’s easy to set up and all you need is to install the app and set up an account and you are good to go. Couple this with the fact that it can safely work on machines across other networks and you get the perfect remote connection tool without paying a cent.
nice
AeroAdmin worked only partly for me. I could access one computer in my house from another computer, but not vice versa. I uninstalled it because I have freeware that works better.

Which is what exactly? Because I’m looking for a cheaper solution than TeamViewer… Is it VNC?
There are lots of solutions out there. Which one works for you?
What is the freeware that works better ?
Your post was from 5 years ago, so this question may be vain, but could you identify those freeware tools that cover this function well ?
Wich one?
