I Buu om I Bouvang provides an enjoyable story and an engaging introduction to the folklore of the Kadazandusun community of Sabah.
Passed down orally from the elders, this folk tale has been an important part of the Kadazandusun cultural heritage. It is reproduced here in a big book format to encourage young Kadazandusuns to read in their mother tongue. It is also hoped that the book will revive the pride in telling traditional indigenous folk tales.
Malay and English translations of the fable are also included so that others too can enjoy this folk tale and use it in their story telling.
