You activated this via touch screen then it showing the underneath image under the top image. So there is a hidden image that is visible only if you touch the touch screens.
Possible for example Smoke, water and fade effects. The image is only displayed when you phone keyboard is unlocked, ie the secret image can be activated only for the one who touched the unlocked keyboard from the phone.
Battery power is only needed when effects are generated in real time. This save battery power.
