PD Particle 9 [for PC]

This is the latest release of PD Particles. Version 9 is derived from Project Dogwaffle code 9.7. It includes numerous tools and brushes:
– natural media brushes such as oil, water color, tempera, airbrush…
– bristle brushes
– particle brushes for grass and tufts of basic foliage
– foliage brushes with multiple rules for various trunk/branch/twiggs/leaves to paint trees in a single brush stroke
– orbicle brushes, which carry swarms of 3D trails, with slingshot spring action
– force fields based on images, to deflect the various particle brushes
– various graphic design tools, such as Rectangle, fill rectangle, line, curves, fill tools
-selection tools to work with alpha channel
– custom brushes made from one image, or image sequences for animated brushes
– advanced color selectors
– sophisticated gradient tools
– work flow enhancers: store image, store brush, store alpha
– Lua based scripting to make your own filters
– various filters for image enhancements

By comparison with earlier versions, Particle 9 also includes:

– Tabbed dialog interface. No drop menus!
– “allow brush transforms” is automatic when changing brush size.
– change brush size with alt-mouse wheel
– Brush preview now respects the size
– Orbicles now come with realtime visualization (really cool with spring forces!)
– enhanced Curve tool, with graphic styles (arrows, dashes, border colors,…)
– easier to close curves
– enhanced color picker
– color themes
– pigments integrated on the color picker
– theme browser
– iconic jump list (mrud)
– vector rendered icons
– pinch zoom for touchscreens
– No layers, but there’s that ‘Spare’ image (aka the Swap image in PD Howler and PD Artist). Think of it as the back side of the canvas. Sometimes, that’s where the artists left the real treasure artwork.
