This short dictionary includes words and expressions related to the concepts of applied social sciences, mainly economics and demography. The dictionary has been compiled in the perspective of translators and writers, who deal not only with terminologies, but also with grammatical categories and other features of the Portuguese and English languages. It aims to offer not only vocabulary meanings, but also to make the reader’s task of translating and writing easier by including language features as derivation, gender, number among others. Therefore, each of its 2,368 entries provides word classes, such as nouns, verbs, adverbs, prepositions, conjunctions and affixes.
