Christopher SononGuestHello!
I am the owner/developer of SerialSafe. If you have any questions or comments please reach out to either [email protected] or [email protected]. If you decided to take advantage of the discounted license please allow up-to 24 hours for us to manually send the license. Thank you for your support!FrancisGuestSaw this offer listed on CNet’s “Cheapskate” blog, and figured I’d give it a try. Though I really don’t have as many keys/codes as I use to from before the ‘digital download’ days, it seems like a nice way of storing the information – and a step up from adding information to a text/notebook file (and, I’m too lazy to create a spreadsheet/database).
One small note: when the program starts, there’s what appears to be an entry form. However, information cannot be directly entered – at least until clicking the ‘add entry’ button. After that, everything seems fine. I’d suggest maybe a pop-up mentioning that fact? Otherwise, it seems to work fine.
Christopher SononGuest@Francis – Thank you for the feedback. I have added your suggestion to the enhancement list for future evaluation.
IainGuestBought it. Really like it and very useful (as I have quite a few packages). Love the embedding of installers/doc’s, that is genius.
One slight issue (hardly an issue I suppose). On the Licence information, the box labelled Serial/License Number, you can’t CTRL+V (Paste) the serial number into the box so you’d have to type it??? That seems harsh, some of the numbers are huge.
Anyway, highly recommended and at $6, that’s not even a price of cinema ticket.
Christopher SononGuest@Iain – Yes, the CTRL+V functionality is currently disabled in that box (as is the CTRL+C function for copy). There is a right click paste option however that you can use. Please see if this will meet your needs.

Problem solved. :) Thanks for the email Christopher :)
OlivierGuestLooks good, but attachments should be encrypted and files in the “Temp” directory should be erased securely when the application exits.
JohnGuestOK, this was just the software I needed. I have been using a homemade amateurish database that is missing a lot of information. It seems I have a lot of programs I have purchased through various “free to try” sites and need to organize them better. A quick trial with Serial Safe and I splurged the whole $5.98 via PayPal and bought the program.
My only question is: having purchased do I keep the same user info that came with the trial version. It has been awhile and I have not received any follow-on email with a different version of the software, new serial number, etc. So, am I good to go when updates appear in the future?
Thank you, great program!

Thank you for your suggestion. It has been added to the enhancement list for future review.Christopher SononGuest[@John]
HI John –
I just received notification of your payment. You should have your license shortly. The license email will contain all your registration information.ianGuestSimple question: does this software search installed software and extract license information for easier access/reference OR is it simply an instrument to add software once it has been downloaded/purchased and installed?
Thanks in advance for your response.
Christopher SononGuest[@ian]
Hello Ian –
Currently it would be an instrument to add software to after purchased. The request to add a scanning function, in some fashion is on the enhancement list. One hesitation with adding the scanning function is related to the software being flagged as malware. Typically utilities that do the scanning you asked about throw up big red flags. I am still evaluating it as an enhancement however. Thank you for your interest.JohnGuestStill no license email and it has been five hours since I paid. I checked my spam folder and it is not there.
Just to be clear, I did quickly receive an email from SHAREWAREONSALE with download and registration information, but I am still waiting for an email from SERIALSAFE.
Thank you.
