The Battery Monitoring Technology Solutions Group has put together this APP to help the long haul trucker deal with the "NO IDLING" state laws. It is designed to show how much time the truck engine can be OFF, when the starting battery is used to power the sleeper, and then have enough charge to start the engine. The battery voltage is read after the engine is turned off and the sleeper is powered up. Read the voltage with a digital voltmeter - like those used by service techs with a 20.00 DC Volt scale - available in most store's auto departments. This voltage and the outside temperature is entered into the APP. Then the time in hours and minutes (00:00) is displayed. This time can be used to set a wake-up call and/or alarm.
