This acts like a TV-B-Gone type device for your HTC One, Samsung Galaxy S4/S5, Samsung Note 10.1, or the Samsung Tab 2 devices. The Samsung or HTC device must have a built in IR port for this to work.
Note for Samsung: If your device has "Power Savings mode" turned on, the IR port "might" not work (i.e. it is saving power), until Samsung releases a fix. So to use this you "might" have to turn off the "Power Savings mode" in Settings->My Device.
